Chapter 48

~The Next Day~

Lillian went to school in her usual timings and saw Zack waiting for her at the gate as usual.

He smiled and waved at her.

She smiled back and walked up to him.

“Good morning.” She told him.

“Morning.” He told her and ruffled the top of her hair.

She combed back her hair with her fingers and looked at him.

“Good thing I don’t make a biggie on hair style, otherwise I would’ve thrown you out a window.” She told him with a smug look.

He smirked and bent down a little so they were at eye level.

“Such a fragile woman like you gonna throw me out a window? I bet you can’t even raise a bat.” he teased her.

She looked at him with narrow eyes.

“You better bet on your life then.” She told him and was about to grab him but he saw that coming and ran away from her.

She chased after him.

“If I catch you, then you’re dead, Zack!” she warned him as she ran after him.

“911! Someone threatened to kill me!” he said and looked back at her with a grin while he kept running away from her.
