Chapter 2.1 – Albert's Past

Al's body is now covered with black bloody wounds due to the attacks that the vampires continue to launch on him and Rai. He could have won because even though Albert was a hybrid vampire, he still had immense power.

For some reason, his strength was almost on par with the leaders of the clans, and he was also mentally and physically strong. This is what causes Al to still be able to survive in the midst of the insults, bullying, and attacks he has received so far.

However, in this fight, he prefers to protect Rai. This little vampire knows nothing. He would feel very guilty if something happened to him. Therefore, Al protected him desperately, making his strength decrease significantly.

As for Rai, he still stood quietly in his place, observing the fight that was taking place. Al had asked him to leave many times, but suddenly he was deaf and disobeyed his words.

"Shit! Why haven't you gone too!?" cursed Al.

"All right… looks like we're going to die together since I can't fight them anymore and protect you. While you have the chance, run away, and save your life," he said breathlessly.

The vampires are attacking again. Their main target now is Rai because, for no reason they know, Albert has always protected this vampire, and of course, they are aware of it.

Now they make Rai their main target to keep Albert off guard and injure him. So attack after attack was carried out, but Al continued to block the attacks.

"You... you said your name was Rai, didn't you? Go home. There must be someone waiting for your return. Don't die in vain here. I'm going to block them, so go," said Al with a smile etched on his face that was already covered in wounds.

Rai looked at him intensely. "Tch! Why is he trying so hard to protect me? I can protect myself! Does he really not know who I am? Is he crazy? His body is covered in wounds and he can still smile and tell me to leave? HA! I want to laugh!" he thought.

"He also calls me Rai and dares to look at me directly!? How presumptuous of him is! Other vampires don't even dare to look up when talking to me or calling my name! But he—" His mind had to stop because suddenly another vampire attacked him again.

With the remaining strength he had, Al tried to repel this attack but failed. Now, his body was floating in the air, his neck tightly strangled, making it difficult for him to breathe.

"Hehehe... your life will end today, disgusting vampire," said one of the attacking vampires.

Al could no longer fight back, he could only cough trying to catch his breath. This vampire then prepared to pierce his chest and shatter his heart.

"You! A disgusting vampire!" Rai shouted to stop everything.

One of the vampires said, "Wow...! This little vampire can talk apparently, I thought you were mute because you've been silent all this time! Or because you were too scared you couldn't talk? HAHAHAHAHA," laughed this vampire followed by other vampires.
