Chapter 2: The Pink Haired Man

What kind of situation am I in? Since when were knives allowed inside a night bar? I looked at the knife pointed onto my neck and gulped.

"Release me," I ordered though I knew he wouldn't listen.

"That necklace. Do you even know what that is?" The man asked me. Judging from his voice, he didn't sound young but some from his thirties.

"I don't. It's something my sister owned," I calmly answered the man. While my eyes wandered, trying to find a solution way out.

"You're sister? What is her name?" The man asked, making me wonder why he was invading my privacy.

"You don't need to know," I scoffed. "Rather, what makes you think I'll tell you?"

"Young miss, your life is on the line right now."

"You're right. However, my privacy is important," I stated loud and clear, which made the man tighten his grip around my neck.

I winced in pain and noticed I was slowly being choked by the man. I thought it was the end of me not until the door banged aloud. The man's grip loosened, and I used to opportunity to escape from him.

I stomped on the man's foot then bit his hand as hard as I could. Then an arm swung right in front.

I dodged the swing, but I lost my balance and fell onto the ground. I groaned and looked at the man whose eyes were filled with bloodlust.

I felt chills crawling behind my back, and the man raised his hand that was holding the knife. As he was about to swing it. The man's eyes grew wide, then slowly fell onto his knees, and his face landed on the ground.

Then a young-looking man whose hair was dyed in pink appeared in my sight. His white shirt was stained with blood and his brown eyes pierced through me. His bloodlust was a lot worse than the other man. It scared me that I was going to die.

Blood dripped from his muscular-looking arms, and he lifted his hand, looking at it as if it were nothing.

Our gaze met and brushed a swift silence between us. He's hurt. I wanted to reach out to him, but my legs felt weak.

Then out of nowhere, a group of five men walked out of the door. Each one of them held a weapon in their hand. I was more worried about the pink-haired guy since he was wounded.

He's at a disadvantage. One versus five doesn't seem like an unfair number.

But I shouldn't have underestimated the pink-haired guy. He rushed into the group of men and knocked them one by one without using anything but his hands.

I watched the pink-haired guy panting then collapse onto the ground. I, without doubt, ran towards him.

"Hey, hey, are you alright? You can't sleep. I'm going to call for an ambulance," I said and was about to pull my phone out, but he grabbed my hand.

"I'm alright. Don't call for the ambulance," said the pink-haired man in a raspy voice. "M-my team will be here soon. "

"W-where are they?" I started to panic as I looked around, trying to find help.

I didn't know what to do. I learned first aid in health class, but my brain is empty. Also, my hands were trembling terribly.

Right before the pink-haired man spoke, the door banged open and rushed in two other boys. To my surprise, they were familiar.

"Sian!" called Joshua as he went ripped the sleeves of his shirt and tied it onto the man's wound. "This is why I said not to rush in. Wayne, call the health department to be ready."

"On it already," said Wayne. "Hello? This is Wayne. Sian is hurt. We'll be sending him in a few minutes."

It doesn't seem like they noticed me yet. But what are they doing here? They called the pink-haired guy Sian. I guess they know each other.

I quietly sat behind them as Joshua continued to tend onto the wound. While Wayne ended the call, then our eyes met. He dropped his phone as our eyes met. Still speechless as he is. Wayne picked his phone back up.

"What…are you doing here?" Wayne asked. Then his eyes lowered, and I thought he was looking at my chest. So I covered my chest with my arms which made him flustered. "I didn't mean that. I was looking at your necklace."

The necklace again. Is this the reason why Micah told me not to show the necklace? She could have just said not to wear it. But I guess she couldn't since my sister owned it. Also, the man earlier. It seems like this necklace holds lots of importance.

"What about it?" I asked him in a stern voice which shook him back.

"N-nothing," he stuttered, then his phone rang. "You've arrived? We'll be there in a bit." Wayne ends the call and carries the pink-haired man on his back down.

I'm utterly confused. I do not know what had just happened and wish they could fill me in the details. It was just like an action movie earlier. Well, the fact I almost lost my life still scares me. Even my legs won't work on me.

I sighed while looking down the ground to see a shadow in front of me. I looked up and met a pair of light blue eyes gently looking at me. My heart skipped a beat, and he offered me a hand.

"Are you alright?" Joshua asked gently.

"I-I'm just a bit shocked from earlier," I laughed it off and when I held his hand. He pulled me up. Then removed the jacket he wore and placed it around my shoulder. "You should go back home. It must have been a crazy day."

It was my first time seeing him this close. I couldn't lie, but his features were extremely handsome. It's almost as if he was a model.

We both gazed at each other. Neither saying a single word. It was as if our eyes were doing the talking, and we both smiled at each other in the end. But it didn't end long until the smile on his face disappeared.

"Good girl," Joshua said as his fingers slipped past through my hair as it flew to the side. "But next time, don't do that again. Also, don't wear the necklace out again. That's an advice from me."

Again with the necklace. Not only that, Wayne did mention it, so did Joshua. Is father hiding something away from me?

"Then we will see again. When the time comes."

For the last time, the corner of his lips rose. As I watched his back disappear from my sight. It felt like the moon was shining on him. It might sound stupid, but he looked brighter than ever.

I clenched my hand onto my chest. My heart wouldn't stop beating fast. Which made me think if I've fallen in love.

My phone suddenly rang out loud, which made me jump. I saw the ID caller on the phone, which was Micah. I picked up the call, and her background noise didn't sound loud at all.

"Sofia? I have to go back home. My dad found out I went clubbing without his permission. I have to go back home before he does," said Micah.

"Go ahead. I'll call someone to bring me back home," I said.

"Sorry, I'm unable to bring you back home," Micah apologizes, and the call ends there.

Anyway, I want to go back home and rest.
