Chapter 163- What We've Been Looking For

Jamari’s POV

I’m not sure why Levi thinks the book will magically appear in the desk when it wasn’t here the first time that we checked, but if there is a chance that he could be right about the book being returned to the desk, I am willing to try it.

Moving over to the desk, I take a seat in the chair behind the desk and look around. A feeling suddenly washes over me causing a look of surprise to appear on my face. My eyes snap up to where Kenji and Levi stand on the other side of the desk, their attention solely on me.

I glance back down at the desk as I run my hand over the top with my palm facing down. Magic sizzles against my skin, surprising me. I jerk my hand back as I stare down at the empty space on the desk in bewilderment.

“Do you guys feel that?” I ask, looking back up to Kenji and Levi. They put their hands over the top of the desk like what I had done, holding it there for longer than what I did, before pulling away and shaking their heads.
