"Luna, Alpha Aaron told me to come and get you." Don walked inside the room.
"You can call me Helena. Luna's too proper." I shuddered to make my point. He chuckled and nodded his head.
"I have a question, Luna." I glared at him. He caught on and chuckled. "Sorry. I have a question, Helena?" I smiled at him. I nodded my head at him, which signaled him to talk.
"Why was Alpha Aaron mad?" My smile dropped and a blush appeared. "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked!" He bowed his head.
I shook my head and mustered up a smile.
"It's fine. We just had a little argument. That's all."
He looked up at me and smiled. "Aaron's a good guy." He smiled. I nodded my head.
The door slammed open and there stood a pissed off Aaron.
"I told you to get her, not chit chat with her, Don," he said sternly.
"Sorry, Alpha. Helena was just grabbing some things." He bowed his head.
'During these times, he can be a real bastard!'
Don sent through a mind link. I held onto a chuckle that was about to break loose.
"Sorry. The Luna was busy packing," Don reasoned out, bowing his head. I frowned at Aaron.
"I don't like being called Luna. I told him he can call me Helena, so chill." I snapped at Aaron when his icy glare was thrown at me, my gaze dropped and I bowed my head.
I probably shouldn't piss him off even more, I thought.
"Leave us," Aaron ordered. I looked up to see his icy glare still directed towards me.
"Yes, Alpha." Don scrambled away and shut the door quietly.
I went back to picking my stuff up and smashing it inside the bag. Once I was done, I zipped up the bag and placed it on my shoulder. The bag was quickly snatched from its place and was replaced on Aaron's shoulder. He walked over to me and slipped his arm around my waist. He dragged me along with him down the stairs and outside the humongous pack house.
Four black SUVs were parked outside and one of the pack members opened the door to one of the SUVs.
Aaron pulled me along with him and I stepped inside the car.
"Thank you." I smiled politely at him. Aaron growled when the pack member smiled back at me.
He was quite handsome. Around his 20's. He quickly bowed his down and shut the door. I looked over at Aaron and noticed the little stubble on his chin and jaw line.
Unconsciously, my hand reached out and I ran my palm on his cheek. His head moved towards me and he looked at me. I moved onto his lap and faced him. I brought my lips close to him and kissed him.
I didn't know where all this confident came from but I just went with it because both, my wolf and I, enjoyed this sudden burst of confidence. He tried so hard to not kiss me back but eventually gave in and our lips moved in sync.
I pulled back when I couldn't breathe. I rested my forehead against his and smiled. He just looked at me.
"What was that for?" He whispered, huskily. I just shrugged and got off his lap. No one could have taken the grin off of my face.
The car ride was silent and we soon entered a large area of land. There in the middle of the big land was a massive mansion. In front of the mansion, there was a big fountain gushing water out.
The green grass was vibrant and there were hundreds of flowers all over the mansion.
"I can tell that you like the mansion already?" I turned my head at Aaron, and stared at him wide eyed.
"Like? I freaking love this place!" I yelled. He winced and I raised my eyebrows at him.
"You're the Luna of the pack. Such language and loudness will not work out." He explained. I glared back at him and crossed my arms.
"Why do you it then?" I accused him. He had the guts to just shrug and he walked out of the car.
One of the shifters who had come with us, opened the door for me and I stepped out thanking him in the process.
I walked behind Aaron and kept mumbled how rude he was and how much of a jerk he was.
"Little wolf, I can hear you." He growled. My head was down and I just looked at my feet as I was walking.
My head lifted and I glared at him.
"I don't care!" I snapped.
"Considering that I'm your mate, I was hoping you'd probably show me some affection. But, I guess not." He grumbled. I did the exact thing he did. I just shrugged at him.
I flipped my hair and walked away from him. I heard a low growl and looked back. Aaron's canines were peaking out and his claws were visible.
In less than a second he stood right in front of me and his hands dug into my waist, for sure leaving a bruise.
"Little wolf, you're testing my patience!" He growled lowly. I put my hand on his hand and tried to push it away.
"Look, Aaron, I can say I honestly don't care if I am. So let go!" I growled back at him. The growl wasn't from me but it was from my wolf.
She hated how I was disrespecting our mate. I pushed her back before I did something I'd regret. Like, probably devour his lips right here, right now. Before I knew it, Aaron had picked me up bridal style and started to walk. My arms instantly wrapped around his neck so I wouldn't fall.
"Put me down!" I snapped.
"No," he simply replied.
He turned around, with me still in his arm and he started to give commands.
"Don't let anyone enter. When Felix comes, let me know. But do not bother my mate and I." All of the other pack members nodded their heads but each had a smile tugging at their lips.
I frowned at all of them and a couple of times I kept trying to get out of Aaron's hold.
"Little wolf, if you keep doing that, you'll fall." He smirked, and I glared at him.
"I'd rather fall!" I snapped at him. He continued to walk up the stairs and walked inside a room.
He walked over to the king sized bed and tossed me on the bed.
"Hey!" I screeched. I rested my weight on my elbow and glared at him.
He crawled over to me and his body hovered in front of me. His eyes shifted to his dark grey orbs and they looked back at me. He lowered his head and started to trail feathery kisses down my neck and back up.
He nuzzled his nose where my neck and shoulder met and licked it. A breathy moan escaped my lips even though I tried to keep it in.
My wolf was howling in pleasure and so was I.
He brought his head and kissed me on my nose.
"I will not force you into anything until you're ready." He smiled at me. My heart melted in a puddle because I knew he was talking about the incident that happened earlier.
"If you don't want me to claim you, I won't. Not yet. But I will make it evident that you're mine. All mine." He growled out and with that crashed his lips onto mine.
My arms wrapped around his neck and I brought him closer.
When he pulled back he gave me one last peck and got up. I quickly got up after him and pulled on his arm.
"Don't leave. . ." I whispered. He turned around and wrapped his arm around my waist.
"I was just informed that my beta had just come. I need to go little wolf." He smiled at me. A frown was placed on my lips.
"Stop calling me that!" I grumbled.
"It's pretty adorable for my adorable little wolf." I swatted his hand away when he tried to pinch my cheek.
"Not cool, Aaron."
He bent down and placed a soft kiss on my lips.
"I'll see you later little wolf." He smiled at me. He turned around and left the room. I walked over to the bed and threw myself on it.
"Luna?" I heard a soft knock on the door and got up. I walked over to the door and slowly opened it.
"Yes?" I asked. I didn't know the person that stood in front of me.
"Alpha Aaron assigned me as your guard. There will be another guard as well." A frown grew on my lips.
"Why do I need guards?" I muttered to him.
"We're here to protect our Luna. You're important to us now." He smiled.
"I didn't catch your name?" I smiled at him. I was touched that I just got here and I already had people that cared about me.
"My name is Oscar." He bowed his head.
"Nice to meet you Oscar. My name is Helena." I smiled at him, extending my hand out for him to shake. He looked at it strangely, but hesitantly shook it.
"Nice to meet you too, Luna." He smiled back retreating his hands.
"I hate the word Luna, It's too proper." I really did hate everyone calling me Luna. I was exactly like them. Nothing special.
He chuckled but didn't say anything.
"So, do you like, maybe want to come inside?" I asked. I honestly didn't know what guards were supposed to do. I never had a guard back at my pack house.
"I don't think Alpha Aaron will appreciate that. I'll stay outside. Just let me know when you need something," he answered politely. My eyebrows scrunched in confusion but I nodded my head.
"Can we go to where Aaron is at?" I asked him stepping outside the room.
"Sure, Luna." He bowed his head and started walking next to me.
I just followed his lead and soon we came across another floor with ten different doors. We continued to walk until we reached a mahogany door.
A growl escaped from Oscar's lips and he put a hand out, blocking me.
He knocked the door and I heard someone call out 'come in'.
Oscar opened the door and I regretted asking to come down to Aaron's office.
"Helena!" The Alpha of the Red Rose pack, Imer, growled out.
The same Alpha I had ditched a date with.
I was in deep trouble!
"What are you doing here?!" Imer growled out. "W-What... What are you doing here?" I asked stupidly. Aaron just looked back and forth, clearly amused. He won't be amused after he finds out what had happened. Imer didn't even answer my question and he turned to Aaron. "Thank you, Aaron. I'll take your leave." He smiled at Aaron, and Aaron gave a curt nod and stood up. Imer stalked towards me and took my hand, dragging me along with him. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?" Oscar growled out. He stepped in front of Imer, and I felt someone pull me to their chest. I looked up to Aaron, shaking with anger. I stayed glued to his chest and Imer looked at Oscar. "I'm taking my mate back home!" Imer announced. Oscar cocked his head to the side and growled. "And who would that be?" Oscar asked him, he turned to look at me and his eyes shifted to a pitch black. "Helena!" Imer growled. I pushed myself closer to Aaron and didn't meet Imer eyes. I felt Aaron adjust himself so I was hi
"Helena!" Dad spat out. I didn't have time to react before he shifted into his brown wolf and leaped on me. "Helena!" I heard screaming but it was too late. My Dad started clawing at my face and by each swipe. I felt a burn and blood trickled down the side of my face. "You're stupid! How could embarrass me in front of the whole pack?!" My Dad sent through a mind link. My brain wasn't registering anything. I didn't know when someone pulled my Dad away because all I was seeing was black. I felt the blood continuously drip down my neck and down my cheeks. I could smell the scent of blood which was making me nauseous. "Stay with me. . . Please, baby. Stay with me." I heard someone shout but all I wanted to do was sleep. So that's what I did. ** "Helena, are you awake?" My eyes fluttered open to see Aaron's handsome face looking deeply at me. I smiled at him and he sighed in relief. "God, I thought something had happened to you!" And that's when it all hit me. I reached up to touch
"Helena..." Alpha Imer smirked at me. My eyes widened and jumped out of my bed. "Aaron!" I screamed as loud as I could but Imer snatched me, and threw me out the open window. I was waiting for the hard impact I was going to make when I fell to the sidewalk but nothing came. I opened my eyes and let out a terrified shriek. My father held me in his arms. His face had dried blood, covering it and his canines were out. "Make another sound, Helena, and you're fucking screwed." My father growled lowly at me. I heard someone land beside my father and saw Imer, smirking. "Let's go. We are going home." Tears started to pour down the side of my face, and I tried to get out of Dad's grip. His hand rose and slapped me across the face when I protest. "Don't make this hard for ourselves, Helena. I will kill you right now if you keep doing this," Dad warned me. They were still running, and I kept trying to get out of his grip. He threw me onto the ground and kicked my sides. The air was knoc
"I don't wanna go home. Please, Dad!" I cried out in pain. "Shut the fuck up, Helena, so you don't get hit again." My father said angrily in my face. "What did I ever do to you?" "You did everything. From the day you were born, I disliked you." He spat in my face. I took my sleeve and wiped away the spit. My legs were shackled in chains made of silver. Every time I moved them, they would burn and hurt. "Aaron will come for me." I whispered, full of hope. "Stop this craziness of yours, Helena! You will marry Imer, and that is my final decision." "Alpha, someone needs your assistance upstairs." Imer called out. He came down the steps and looked at me. "If Helana bothers you, just hit her," Dad replied. He sneered at me and walked up the steps. Once I heard the door slam close, Imer came to my side. My mouth fell opened when he unlocked the silver chains from my legs and helped me up. "W-What are you doing?" I asked astonished. "Imer. . . What are you doing?" "Helping you out. D
My heart pounded when the words left Imer's mouth. "Nothing will happen, baby." Aaron tried to soothe me, but it wasn't working. When Imer said my father was in a foul mood, that meant he would destroy everyone and everything that was in his way. "Helena!" A voice boomed. A voice I didn't want to hear. . . "Stay behind." Aaron growled. He quickly turned into his black wolf. My brother Felix, turned into his wolf and leaped forward. He snapped his teeth at Imer, and slowly walked over to the door. Felix ferociously snapped his teeth and soon my fathers' bloody body came into view. "Stay away," Don warned, but my father just chuckled. Aaron's wolf was huffing and his teeth continued to snap. I sidestepped away from them but Aaron was watching, and he pushed me behind him. He snapped his teeth at me, and Christian held me in place. I pushed his hands away and quickly got out of the way. "D-Dad, if it's me you want to talk to then here I am," I announced calmly. But inside, I was
AARON "Mother, what a surprise!" I plastered a fake smile, and so did she. "Likewise, honey. May I talk to you?" She looked at Helena, and back at me. "In private." I looked to Helena, and she got out of my arms and made her way back upstairs. I looked back at my mother and saw her eyeing me. "Why didn't you tell me you had found your mate? I was told through another pack member. Am I not your mother anymore?" She rambled. I rolled my eyes at her. "You would've stayed my mom even if I didn't tell you." I chuckled. She huffed and folded her arms. "I've just been kind of busy with all of the situations going on." I mumbled. "It looks like your mate has caused quite a scene already," she replied. My eyes snapped at her and I balled my fist. "She's my mate. I don't care what she does. I'll love her no matter what, Mom." I growled at her. I didn't want to show disrespect in front of my own mother, but my wolf didn't enjoy the fact that she was accusing our mate. "I never question
Aaron's face turned a bright shade of red, and he glared at me. "Where did you here that nonsense?" He growled. He grabbed onto my waist and lightly pushed his fingers in. "A little birdie told me." I smirked in response. He growled out loud and his eyes grew wider and got darker. Even though he was growling and annoyed, a light blush crawled his cheeks. "Where did you here that, Helena?" He growled yet again. I continued to smirk. He lightly pushed me down and got on top of me. "I never kissed walls and teddy bears." He snapped. "That's not what the little birdie told me." His claws dug into my skin, and I winced in pain. "I'm sorry." He quickly got off me and was about to walk away. I grabbed onto his arm, pulling him back. "Are you really mad?" I pouted. He huffed in annoyance and removed my hand from his. "I don't know! Go ask that little birdie of yours." He huffed and walked away. My jaw dropped open, and I just looked at his retreating back. "Are you serious?" I mum
My eyes turned into wide saucers and I looked helplessly between Felix and the ground. "Mr.Shaw, we were ju—" "What's all this commotion?" The little food I had eaten was making a reappearance. "Nothing, son," Aaron's father said, eyeing me. "Helena, is that you?" Aaron squinted in the dark. Felix placed a hand on my shoulder, and tried to keep me calm. "What are you doing out here so late?" He reached us in a few strides and pulled me to my brother. Aaron snuggled his nose in my hair, inhaling and exhaling. His warm breath burned my skin even more and I fidgeted around. "Aren't you supposed to be mad at me?" I blurted out. I mentally face palmed myself. That's exactly what I should have not said to him. Aaron pulled back, and glared at me. I shrunk back and looked at the ground. "Felix, why don't you go head off to bed?" I heard Zain, Aaron's father tell Felix sternly. I knew Felix wanted to disagree but I glanced at him and gave him a pleading look. Felix sighed and ruf
