|Athena's POV|

"How long have I been here?" I asked Sean who shrugged. "Are you planning on letting me go or—" I trailed off, tilting my head to the side as I stared at his perfect as hell face again. He was absolutely gorgeous with his sharp jawline, pink soft lips, grey eyes, brown hair—fucking hell. That man was so fine.

"I don't know yet," He muttered, his eyes fixed on me as he sat on the chair across mine. He tied my hands again after I was done eating which was around fifteen minutes ago.

"My back is starting to hurt," I complained, "be a gentleman and let me go? You know I'll keep my mouth shut about whatever you are."

"Whatever?" He repeated with a roll of his eyes before correcting, "it's whoever and besides, you don't even know anything."

"Right," I pursed my lips in a thin line, "exactly! So you have no reason to keep me here."

"You're going to stay here," His voice was serious, "until I get the girl I am actually looking for."

"Are you fucking serious right now?" I asked in disbelief, "what if you never find her? Then what? I'm going to stay here and rot?"

"I guess so, darling."

"Fuck you," I hissed, struggling to free myself from these ropes.

"I bet you'd like that," He muttered before he asked, "what's your name?"

"That's really none of your business now, is it?"

"I will find out one way or another," he pursed his lips, narrowing his eyes at me, "have I met you before?"

"Who? Me? No, of course not." I scoffed. There was just no way he could've seen me, could he? I made sure to keep my face hidden from him that day, in the cemetery.  I couldn't risk anyone knowing who I was or how I was related to Alessio, it would put me and him as well as everyone he cared about in grave danger. I had my own enemies and they had theirs. Mine would give anything to hurt someone I care about. Unfortunately for them, they have no idea who I care about because according to them, I don't have anyone.

I made these enemies while taking down these men who were involved in ruining my life. Turned out they were part of something big—the Spanish Mafia. But that didn't stop me. I needed to have my revenge and I killed two of the men involved in what happened to me. I had only two to go. Me, being kidnapped, was slowing down my revenge—not that I could do anything about it.

"Wouldn't you know if you had met me?" I questioned earning a small sigh from him in response before he asked, "who was that man you killed?"

"Oh, you saw that?" I raised my brows to which he shook his head, "I've been told about it."

"I was not the one who did that," I shrugged, "I found him like that and was about to call the police when I was rudely knocked out."

"Then how come you have blood on you?" He was staring at me suspiciously. I wouldn't blame him, I would've done the same thing If I were him. I was aware of the fact that I had blood on my hands, face and dress but I never really cared. I sighed, "the man was alive when I saw him. He raised his bloodied hand to touch my face, it was weird—" the lie rolled off my tongue smoothly, "—he told me a name as he did that. Something like—" I furrowed my brows, trying my best to make my lie sound real, "—Alessio, whoever that is."

A look of recognition flashed in his eyes as he abruptly stood up from his seat, "are you sure?" I nodded, "why? Do you know that Alessio guy?" He didn't reply. Sean turned his back to me and headed towards the door before walking out, closing it behind him. A smirk found it's way onto my face while I relaxed into the uncomfortable chair. He was definitely going to call Alessio to ask him about that, meaning, I wouldn't be there for long.

|Sean's POV|

Taking out my phone, I searched for the familiar name.

Alessio.

Him and I would barely speak these days. However, I'd go to pay him a visit every once or twice in a week to ensure that he wasn't doing anything stupid like killing himself. He would spend his entire day torturing the living hell out of Luigi who deserved it.

I waited for him to answer the call. I knew there was a high chance he wouldn't pick it up but I did it anyway. Much to my surprise, he answered the call, his deep rough voice rang through my ears, "hey, what's up?"

"Alessio," I pursed my lips in a thin line, "I called to ask you whether you've been to my club and tortured a dude a few hours ago. Was that you?"

"A dude?" He repeated, "at your club? Which one? The one you named to mock me?"

"Yeah," I nodded even though he couldn't see me, "I found a guy lying there—"

"Wait, wait," he cut me off making me furrow my brows, "how could you have found him? I've gotten rid of him hours ago." There was a minute of silence from both our sides. I was beyond confused. "Sean," he spoke after a few more seconds of silence, "did you see a girl there? Long black hair? Blue eyes? Pale skin?"

"Yes. You know her?" I ran a hand through my hair, letting out a groan, "I'm so fucking confused right now."

"Same, bro. What's going on?" He asked, "where's the girl? How come you've spoken to her? How do you even know her? Fuck, how did you even see that man? He was gotten rid minutes after he died."

"I—" I paused, sighing. My mind was a mess. I was beyond confused. "—could you come over? I'm gonna need you to solve this shit for me."

"I'm on my way," he muttered which literally shocked me because I thought he wouldn't. He didn't even bother to go to Blake's wedding. Right, Blake and his fiancee who I think her name was Marissa got married a few weeks ago—it was a grand thing though I did not attend neither did Alessio. While the others were quick to get over Thea's death, I couldn't. She was my god damn sister and I missed her more than anything though I wouldn't show it.

I put my phone back in my pocket and plopped down on the couch in my living room, waiting for Alessio to show up. After what felt like hours, he entered my house, looking like a mess. His black hair was dishevelled and there were visible dark circles under his eyes—which I got used to.

He sat down across me, crossing his legs as he stared at me, "what was this you were telling me?" His voice was hoarse and confused. I cleared my throat before I began to explain everything to him; how I told my men to kidnap a girl, how they kidnapped the wrong girl, how they saw a body there, how the girl told me that the man gave away his name.

Alessio was staring at me, his lips parted and his eyes wide opened as I reached the end of my sentence. He was quiet. I narrowed my eyes at him, watching as he stood up and let out a groan, "can you take me to that girl?

I nodded, standing up as well. I then began walking in the direction of the basement with him following me quietly and closely behind. After a few more steps, I opened the mental door, revealing the girl who was sitting on a chair with her eyes closed, her head thrown back and soft snores coming out from her. Maybe I left her out there for too long?

"Athena?" The name flew out of Alessio's mouth which made me furrow my brows in confusion. He walked towards her, taking rather large steps, "fucking hell," he breathed out once he was standing right in front of her, "is she dead?"

"I don't know," I shrugged, rolling my eyes at the dumb guy in front of me, my voice laced with sarcasm as I spoke, "it's not like she's snoring or anything."

"Fuck—" he brought a hand to her face, pushing a strand of her hair away from her face, "—Athena? Wake up."

I walked over to her and shook her shoulders slightly, "yeah, Athena, wake up, it's time to go home." She jolted awake at my touch, scowling when her eyes landed on me, "what do you want, you fucker?"

"Wow, I must say I'm hurt that you did not notice me first." Alessio dramatically said making her flicker her eyes to him in shock, "fucking hell. Took you long enough."

"Wait, what the fuck is going on? How do you two know each other?" I leaned against the wall, facing the two with my arms crossed, my brows furrowed as I awaited for either of them to begin talking.
