Chapter 27

"What happened?" Taiden asked his friends. We weren’t able to sleep another night at the resort because Dale called that Mozes was missing.

"It was an ambush. His car exploded. But, we can't find his body. We guess, he might have escaped. That place is very secluded and it's hard for us to rome around..." Dale explained.

We are here at Suzie's house gathered and we are still waiting for Kuya. Even before Dale spoke again, Kuya arrived. He immediately went to me and hugged me.

There were many questions in Kuya's eyes, but he couldn't voice them. I know Taiden’s friends and Suzie are now wondering why Taiden and I are together.

Kuya and Taiden looked at each other. It was as if the thorn of the fist bump had pulled the two out.

"What is he doing in that place? Is he crazy? Why didn't he say someone was tailing him?" Taiden said angrily.

Everyone shrugged and Suzie and I looked at each other. Strange people are with us. These are no longer Taiden’s joking friends and neither is Taiden. T
