Chapter Twelve.

I woke up earlier than Dominic so I could make him breakfast. It took a lot of begging and pleading but Dominic agreed that we could stay another day.

I know mama and papa will be worried but I don’t want to lose this feeling. This morning as Dominic ate his breakfast he told me that he was my first and was going to be last. I was so sleepy I hadn’t realized I told him he was my first.

Dominic and I spent most of the day in bed and each time was better than the last.

Dominic went to chop more wood for the fire and I decided to take a walk which is what I’m doing now, walking.

I know we can’t stay here forever and sooner rather than later we have to go back to the palace and face reality.
