Chapter Twenty two

As planned, I'm with Thea who offered to help me get a new dress that Adams grandma might actually like.

"Thanks for meeting up with me, Thea. I really needed a break from Adams grandma," I stated.

"She's really that bad, huh?"

"This morning, she wanted a special brand of cereal– the ones we had at home weren't good enough. Which is crazy considering Adam has about TEN different brand flavours," I complained.

"So, what did you do?" She questioned with furrowed brows.

"I went to the store and got the one she wanted," I murmured and Thea raises a brow. "Don't give me that look. I want to impress her," I whined, having a strong urge to kick my legs in the air.

"Well, you're not going to impress her by buying her cereal," she countered and I release a heavy sigh.

"You're right, like always. So what should I do?" I folded my arms, waiting for her response.

"Just show her how much you and Adam care about each other," she advised.

"Except everything about how FAKE the relationship is. . ." I
