A knock at the door woke me up from my trance, “Come in,”

“Malady, everyone’s waiting for you,” a lady in mid-forties exclaimed in tightfistedness with a touch of fear

Combing my hair, I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn’t realize the timing even for once but what I do catch was the most annoying word to my ears, ‘Malady’

I huffed to let out my exertion, “Tell him, I’m coming,” That was enough to send her off but didn’t miss to see her imperceptible bow to me as in fucking respect before heading outside, “Oh hell again,” slipped out of my mouth, not sure if she heard it or not.

I tied my hair in a high ponytail and gave a wink to cheer up my already-blown mood. Gathered stamina to walk out of the room, I finally took a step out of there and reached down to the left corridor.
