After dinner, Ruby returned to her room and was still hurt by what happened earlier. She didn’t want him to see her in such an emotional state. It was almost impossible not to ask him if he didn’t remember her.

She closed her eyes and tried to sleep but she couldn’t. When she tried to sleep alone, it was difficult but whenever she was in his bed, she slept like a baby and didn’t want to wake up.

Meanwhile, in Nate’s room, he tossed in bed as he thought of what he said or did that upset her. He had apologized to her again over dinner but she was still moody. He was confused by everything and decided to give her a little space to see if she was going to come around. Without her, he felt so empty. Most nights, they watched a movie or talked till they fell asleep but it looked like he had a long night. He had tried watching her favorite movie but it was boring and tiresome without her by his side.

“Is this what love feels like?” He asked himself as he rubbed his tired eyes.
