Chapter 4. Back to where it started

Lars shook his head:

“For the time being, leave her alone. Get ready, tomorrow we will start our business trip to the eastern city.”

“Didn't you say next week?” Finn startled and asked

“Do you have an opinion?”

“No, I'll go get ready.” Finn did not dare say much. He looked up and peeked at Lars's face to make sure everything was fine before he left with peace of mind.

Finn had just taken a step when Lars said again:

“Let's clean up the 'garbage' in there first. Be careful next time.” Lars's gaze turned sharp. No one know when, he stepped out of the room, the light outside made the bloody clothes stand out even more.

Finn trembled, and he lowered his head. This time Keelin to enter that room, he was the biggest culprit. Luckily, she was special to Lars, otherwise, if the person who entered was someone else, it would be difficult to imagine the outcome.

If that had happened, there would have been not one but two corpses in that room at that time.

Finn clutched the document, lowering his head apologetically as if waiting for Lars to release his ‘death’ sentence.

Lars glanced at him.

"This month you won't have a salary, you will cut the bonus at the end of the year." He said a word and then walked into his bedroom, leaving Finn, who was trembling with anxiety.

Fortunately, the money is lost but the life is still there, which is already good.

***

Keelin sat holding a glass of Starbuck, silently enduring Eira's wrath.

“I told you, you love him so much, there's no way you can get a divorce so easily. Now, look at that, as soon as you get back to get your things, you change your mind. No wonder your mother doesn't dare to let you pass through the Ramos mansion.”

Keelin knew that she had run out of arguments, and couldn't argue with Eira, but she couldn't tell the truth, only sighed.

"Let's just say I'm still attached with Lars, don't want to leave. Just only three more years.”

“Hey Miss Morales, how old are you now? Three years isn't just a number, it's a time and it's not short, Keelin. Haven't you suffered enough for the past three years, do you still want to suffer for him?" Eira said loudly, her chest heaving and her aggressive stance showing her anger. She thought that if she did that, Keelin would think straight and turn around and withdraw that decision.

But contrary to Eira's thoughts, Keelin's gaze became even more determined.

"It is ok. I will continue to stay at the Ramos mansion, waiting for the day he realizes my feelings for him.” Not only to save her life, but Keelin also wanted to find out if it was really Lars that didn't have feelings for her or not. Although she was really panicking yesterday, she was still a little conscious, she still clearly remembered Lars's unusual words and actions

Therefore, even if it was just a tiny bit of hope, Keelin also wanted to give up.

“Okay ....” Eira now knew that Keelin wouldn't listen to her anymore, like that day three years ago, when Keelin decided to use that night to bind Lars.

"If you decide to do that, then do not call me again in the future!" Eira said and turned to leave without hesitation.

Keelin looked at Eira's back, feeling sad and lost in her heart, but reality did not give her any other choice. Assuming she wasn't afraid of death, telling the truth to Eira would put Eira in danger again, Keelin couldn't do that.

Eira slows down but still does not see Keelin pulling her back, her face darkening. Eira took out her phone and sent a text message, then immediately took a taxi to leave.

Sitting in silence for a long time, Keelin got up to make a phone call.

So, the furniture has not been moved for a long time, now it has to be moved again.

Keelin sighed, she did not even dare to go home, so she had to ask Finn to send someone to deliver her things. Her parents must be furious, she'll have to see them too but not right now, at least until they cool down.

Keelin took a taxi to the Ramos mansion.

As soon as she reached the gate, Keelin caught Finn coming in from the outside but did not see the figure of her vampire ex-husband.

As if sensing Keelin's suspicions, Finn bowed his head and said:

"Mr. Ramos has to go to the eastern city on business, it is expected to return in three days”

“I… didn't ask about him either.” Keelin hesitantly walked past Finn, but an arm stopped her.

Finn saw Keelin stop, took a step back, and said respectfully:

"Madam, can we talk in private?"

Knowing that Finn wanted to talk about yesterday, Keelin didn't refuse but nodded. The two entered the mansion's library.

After closing the door to the room, Finn said,

"Yesterday's incident scared you, I sincerely apologize."

"It's true that I was scared, but since it was Lars, it's okay," Keelin said honestly. Indeed, because it was Lars, the man she loved the most, all emotions were resolved quickly. Otherwise, if it were someone else, Keelin would probably be in a mental hospital by now.

“That’s good, I'm worried that this will affect your psychology, but looks like I've been thinking a lot” Finn sighed inwardly.

Actually, Finn is a vampire, but not of genuine blood. He willingly let Lars transform himself so that he could stay in Ramos' mansion to serve Lars. Being with Lars for a long time, Finn also somewhat understands his personality. Other than Finn, no one knows how worried Lars was yesterday, he is not afraid that Keelin will change his mind, he is just worried that she will alienate him because of that secret, become cold to him, and no longer care to him again.

Looking at Lars like that, Finn could only sigh, but in his heart, he constantly grumbled: "You yourself are indifferent, don't care about her, but now you are afraid that she will avoid you? Is that fair?"

But lucky for Lars because Keelin is different from the other women.

Looking at Keelin, Finn confided for the first time:

"Honestly, we who work at the Ramos mansion really like you and hope you and boss will get along. It's only a pity that in the past three years, the love between you two has not been as expected. What happened just now is also seen as an opportunity, I hope to see a change in your relationship.”

Having lived at the Ramos mansion for three years, Keelin of course also knows how people feel about her, but hearing that for the first time, she couldn't help but feel proud and somewhat embarrassed.

"I hope so. I just don't know what he thinks.” Keelin was a bit sad, Lars was so different from time to time that she really couldn't guess his feelings for her, could only secretly hope.

Hearing Keelin's words, Finn seemed to see a rosy future in front of him. If Lars knew about this, he would probably fly into the sky and fall into a circle.

. “Don't worry, your efforts will definitely pay off. Well, I have to go, boss will get angry after waiting so long”

“Okay, you two take care of yourself."

"Surely, you must rest assured.”

Receiving Keelin's nod, Finn smiled and headed for the door. When his hand touched the doorknob, Finn suddenly turned his head.

"Madam, only me and the housekeeper know that secret in this mansion, you should be careful." Although Finn trusted Keelin quite a bit, he still wants to remind her again, to be careful not to be superfluous.

"Don't worry, I will definitely keep my mouth shut" Keelin assured.

"Thank you"

Finn leaves, the room quiet again.

Keelin stared at the objects on the table, as if she saw Lars sitting at work. The corner of her mouth lifted slightly in a smile.
