Chapter 42

As soon as the meeting was done, I was ready for bed. I was totally exhausted. Luke followed me up the stairs to our bedroom. When we got there, I went into the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. When I was done, I got in bed and snuggled into the soft blankets. When Luke finished his shower, he got in bed beside me and I snuggled closely to him. I was in a deep sleep before I even told him goodnight.

I felt like I had slept forever when I woke to Luke holding a cup of coffee under my nose. I opened my eyes, and smiled at him, “You know me so well.
