I.

She was getting late. She needed to leave for the hospital. Today, she had to attend a patient and the time was passing fast.

She took her bag and left her room while running her fingers through her short straight black hair.

When she dipped her finger into her high volume hair, moisture engulfed her fingers. Her hair was still wet. She did not dry them up because she was getting late.

Last night, she received the report of her next patient. She was reading about his information when she fell asleep. When she got up, she found it was already 8 o’clock and needed to reach the hospital by 9. She took almost half an hour under the cold shower.

Combing her hair through her fingers, she was taking long strides towards her car.

Meet Alessandra Irad, a psychiatrist. Since childhood, she has been fond of studying the human mind. She wanted to read every decision of a human being about why he does what he does.

Why a person is sad, why he is angry, why he cries, why he hates or loves—she was fond of knowing all this since childhood. She knew that it is inevitable for a human being to feel all this, but someone reduces these feelings and someone increases it to a high extent.

Some cry in sadness, some smile. Some do nothing in anger and some try to harm others. Some are ready to die in love and some are ready to kill. She wanted to understand all this.

To know all these things, she studied psychology and learnt even the smallest detail about the human mind.

“Allie! Did you take your jacket?” comes Mrs Jones’ loud voice. She looked up, towards the balcony of her pretty house, standing in front of her house, before the main gate.

“Ah… no, mamma!” she replied, biting her tongue.

The lady smiled and went inside. In a minute, she arrived with her jacket in her hands. Alessandra stretched her hands, making a position to catch her jacket and she did it like a pro when Mrs Jones dropped it.

“Thank you, young lady!” she chuckled, earning a glare from Mrs Jones.

••

Reaching her destination, her first task was to visit the receptionist. When the receptionist’s eyes caught Alessandra coming through the main gate, she waved her hand.

Alessandra smiled and hugged her slightly once she reached her.

“Rise and shine, honey… you’re late again. What’s your excuse today?”

Alessandra rolled her eyes while a smile played on her lips, showing she expected it from her friend

“Honestly, I slept like a baby and nobody tried to wake up this baby.” She huffed, taking two steps further so the other could inquire with her friend because she was a receptionist.

“Aww! So now when the baby is good and energetic, let me give her some work. Your patient has arrived already—,”

“Oh god! How long has he been waiting?” Alessandra interrupted her.

“30 minutes, sweetie!” she tells her, pinching her cheek. Alessandra’s eyes caught nervousness but she removed it immediately. She is a psychiatrist and she does not need to be afraid of anything and anyone.

“Okay, so I’m leaving now.” Alessandra stepped to leave. She did not want to accept this, but the patient found this time had probably created fear in her heart.

Hades Ezekiel, her patient, has a highlighted criminal history. He had killed his mother and her lover in his childhood by burning them with third degree torture. He was sixteen years old at that time. After interrogation by the police, it was heard that he was angry with his mother. His mother and his lover had killed his father so that both of them could become one but Hades could not digest it. His anger is his disease. He has spent three years in Juvenile. Then for three years, he was under Mr Raynolds for his therapy. Three years in Mental Need. Two years with Mrs Hudson, another therapist for his anger. His condition is much better now than before. Due to anger in the middle, he tried to harm Mr Rodriguez and many patients in the asylum but now he does not do so. Now he just needs to be under Alessandra for three months and then he can be discharged from all this and lead a good life.

Hades had many ups and downs in his life but now he was only three months away from his freedom.

Hades had learned how to cope with doctors, but now he needed someone who had a different mindset than doctors, and Alessandra was a perfect example of such psychiatrists.

Her method of treating her patients was quite famous. She did not even make her patients feel that she was a psychiatrist. She was always like their friends and a social person around them.

And Hades needed that. He needed to learn how to cope with the people around him who never knew what he had in his past and what he carries inside him—an undecided rage.

She wrapped her fingers around the doorknob before pushing it open. The familiar warm color greeted her eyes but what was different in that room?

A tall man sitting on a chair, which was placed near a window, showing the view outside. Another chair was in front of that chair and a table worked in between. Two walls behind the chairs, made the space small.

Of course, it was a psych ward!

She noticed a cube in his hands and he was solving it. His whole focus was on the cube and he was engulfed in it. Completely.

She took a deep breath before taking her steps towards the man. Her heels echoed through the room, disturbing its silence and making him realize about her presence in the room.

For a moment, just for a single moment, his movements stopped. His fingers stopped working on the cube, sensing the presence and working on it.

Her strawberry and vanilla scent spread into the room, captivating the whole atmosphere, while the man inhaled deeply before engulfing back into the cube once again.

She reached the desk and stood next to it, watching him. His giant body sent a shiver down her spine. It was the first time in her life she was going to treat a tall and cruel man.

Till now, she only got the cases of mentally disturbed people. Their anger issues never possessed them to kill another, especially in third degree ways. Some of them had bad past experiences and they needed to come out of it. Alessandra helped them skillfully but she was never with a criminal.

She has seen the pictures of the cases. Pictures of his mother and the man whom she had an affair with. They were burned to the bones and she literally shivered when she saw the pictures.

“Hi, Hades,” she said in her low voice, filling herself with some confidence after remembering her professor’s words.

He is not like before

He seemed to halt in his movements but did not look up at her. He just ignored her and continued solving the puzzle.

She watched how skillfully his fingers turned it, matching the colors and suddenly after applying a single turn, he was done with it.

Thinking, now he might pay her attention, she squared her shoulders. He tilted his neck and then she saw his face clearly.

She didn’t know what a meeting with this murderer would be like, but he turned out to be like a fallen angel.

Wow. The only word she could imagine at that time. Her voice died inside when she looked at the Greek god sitting himself in front of her. He was literally like a model or if she comes to praise, then she does not know which word she should use.

It was as if he was created by God himself. Literally a fine piece of art and craft. It was as if God was thinking about trying every of his demands on this creature.

His green eyes stared at the girl, but she seemed to get lost in him. Completely in his forest green eyes. As if she was lost in a forest.

He was waiting for her to say something but unfortunately the girl was busy admiring his every single feature. His face was like a very well carved diamond. His cheekbones were desirably high and his jaws were sharp. Sharp like a knife. His eyes were penetrating as if he could see through her soul and his roman nose was a beautiful compliment on his Apollo face.

Gosh! What is he? He cannot be a human because humans are not this gorgeous
