Chapter 24 - Choice made

Alpha was about to say something, but I gestured for him not to say anything. We sat there for a few minutes in silence until I recovered from this new piece of information. "Can we believe her?" I asked no one in particular and looked at Alpha. "She tried to attack us. How can we know whether she was telling the truth or not?"

"I don't feel that she was lying about all this. My wolf is very cautious around humans, so he is always attentive, and I believe his instincts about humans. We don't think there is a single lie in her whole story," he concluded, and I groaned in irritation.

"I am unable to understand anything. Why would they lie about my age?" I asked myself and rubbed my temples.

"I don't think anyone can answer your question except Shira. There is no need to waste our energies in the matter in which we can't reach a conclusion," he said, and after a few minutes, I nodded.

"You are right" I took a deep breath and continued, "so alpha, what are you going to do in my matter?

The dialogue is choppy but the story flows so you know the author knows how to express themselves correctly. It is confusing to go between correctly articulated sentences to choppy dialogue for the characters.
