Promise

It's finally weekend. On the weekend So Eun usually get up at noon because she cherish her precious sleeping time so much. But not for today, at the dawn her eyes was widely open, she can't back to sleep anymore. To be honest she didn't get a good sleep at all last night and the culprit of her restless night is no one else but Hyuk Soo. She isn't quite sure if he is really going to fetch her today but yet she is belwidered to thinks what outfit she has to wear to meet him. She decide to get up early, pull out all of her clothes on the bed even when everyone around her is still sleeping. She cant decide about the outfit because she doesn't know where are they going to go, so she thinks to ask him. wasn't ask him about their destination in this early morning would only make him assumed that she is really excited about their date? Are they even going to date? Nope. She throw away her phone on the pillow.

In the end she choose a casual yet chic outfit as her concept. She takes her phone and doing some research about the trendy outfit style on internet. She doesn't want to looks out of date when she walk together with this fashionable and good looking guy. She decide to takes her white pants and sneakers. She combine it with her cute yet ellegant tan blouse and beautify the concept with a brown leather belt. After deciding her clothes she does her hair and make up. She need almost 3 hours to get ready. At 07.58 a.m she received a text from Hyuk Soo, informing her that he was arrived. She checks on her appearance on the mirror once again, take a deep breath and walk out to meet him.

Hyuk Soo stand leisurely lean on the car behind him while putting his both hand on the pocket. He smiles to welcome her. She is enchanted with his smile, it make her heart skip a beat. She is coughing awkwardly trying her best to revert her heart beat. When she goes closer, Hyuk Soo can't help but to check on her from head to toe, she is dazzling. He mantains to put his laconic demeanor. But his eyes can't stop scaning on her.

"Whose car is it?" Her question pull him back to reality. She has been nervous with his staring. He inform her that it's his.

"Stupid question, why would I ride other's cars?" His comment break away all of her silly heartbeat. It was foolish for her to feel all unnecessarily butterfly in her heart towards the jerk who stand infront of her.

"I'm asking because I dont know!" She is angry. Stomping his foot which makes him cry out in pain. She doesn't care. She pass him, open the car's door and sit on the passenger seat, pouting. She never saw him rides a car, so isn't it wrong for her to asking. She is really upset because he keep adressing her as stupid. How insensitive of him. It's definately not a date.

He sense her swift of mood, he realized that she is upset but he doesn't know why. He strokes his neck, feeling nervous. it is not a good start. He open the door awkwardly and sit obidiently.

"You look beautiful today" he coments trying to restore her mood, but she answer sarcastically that she is beautiful since a baby. he failed. So he decides to turn on the engine and heading towards their destination.

The first destination is amusement park. He thought she would've enjoy it. He staring at her to check on her expressions and he know that he is right. There is an excitment on her faces, her eyes are sparkling. He smiles on her reaction. She suggest to enjoy some ice cream, he doesn't has a sweet tongue but he agree. When they walking around they find a lots of adrenaline rides such as roller coaster, giant swing, skyscreamer and etc. So Eun shouted in excitement, it is a paradise for her. The opposite of her, it's become a nightmare for Hyuk Soo. He is not a fan of an extreme height. He catch So Eun's hand just in time before she rush forward to try every rides that spark her adrenaline.

"Are you sure you wanna try that? There are other rides too, safer than these" he tries to persuade her, he is kinda pale, sweats in cold. She doesn't care, nodding in excitement with bright smile. He ask again whether she is afraid or not. At this point, she start to get the point and teasing him. She grinned.

"Why? Are you afraid?" She teased him. He is afraid. Frightened . But he does not want to lose from her. He tries to gain his composure, telling her that he is not afraid at all. She knew he is lying. Her smile become bigger. 

She takes his hand, dragging him forcefully to follow her. She can't miss the chance to prank him. Now he starts to regret his decisions. They tried every single adrenaline rides as she insist. After finishing all of their rides, there are a contrast different of their facial expression. Her face is as bright as the sun, while his face is lifeless. He feel nauseous and want to vomit. He is squating trying to get rid of his nauseous and So Eun help him by stroking his back, and giggling. She feel sorry for him but can't hide her satisfaction. She just discover a new side of him that she never thought did existed.

After he feel better, they decides to take a rest and have a lunch break. When their stomache is full, they walking around again, still not satisfied of playing here. At a certain point, they heard some horror screaming from a ghost's house. So Eun flinched, pulling Hyuk Soo's sleeves which attract his attention and his will to.... revenge.

"They are shouting in excitement, there must be an interesting show inside." He starts his nosy act.

"It's clearly not an excitement. They are screaming in fear!" She insist, try to make him stay. She plead him with her puppy eyes, but it triggered him even more. He pushes her forwards and she determined to stay. 

They didn't realize that the floor is quite slippery around them. It cause So Eun lost her balance and fall down, sitting on the ground. Witnessing this accident, Soo Hyuk instantly laughing aloud which make So Eun's bag being thrown on his face. She is pouting, being embarrased and fall in agony. But his laughter doesn't really infuriated her, because it is her first time looking at him laughing freely like this. She is annoyed with his behaviour who laugh on her despair but she does not hate it too.

"Okay... Okay.... Let's go...." He finally help her stand up after laughing on her hardly. Then takes this chances to drag her along to come inside the ghost's house. This time he has an upperhand. She can't stop screaming and hitting his body everytime a fake ghost appear. He successfully escape from the adventure with all the bruises So Eun caused on his body. But he doesn't mind, this moment is priceless. Both of them enjoy it, decides to cheerish the moment together.

In the evening Soo Hyuk rides them to the last destination. They visit a beach and playing water together before enjoying the scenery of a sunset. The sky gradually changed to purple yellowish colour. The view is truly enchanting.

"It's so beautiful....." So Eun staring to the sun. Smiling, trying to painting the view into her mind.

"My mother really like a beach view like this" Soo Hyuk added, his eyes is full of nostalgic. On the mentioning of his mother, So Eun"s smile is dissapear. It remind her of the fact about him she had discovered some times ago. Her bright eyes replaced with sadness and apology.

"Soo Hyuk-ssi.... I know it is not my place to knowing this without your agreement.... So I apologize to you" she becomes serious. Hyuk Soo is puzzled. So Eun takes a breath before revealing the truth.

On that day, when Hyuk Soo leave So Eun with Young Kwang, she ask him about their conversation on the park, the things that happened to Soo Hyuk. 3 years ago his mother is suddenly dead due to a cancer. He never learned anything about her sickness. She never told him. At that time, Soo Hyuk is really busy with his modeling career. He is so focus to pursue his passions and rarely come to visit his mother who live alone. Even on her last breath he is absent from her sides. Her death hits him hard, especially when he discover the truth about her disease. He can't imagine how much suffer she felt to fight against her cancers , all by herself. She never told him because she doesn't want to become a burden on his career. Thus, he blames his self and his dream to let her suffer alone until her death.

Silence come between them, So Eun watching over him silently. His laconic face is unreadable. She is afraid that he would get angry on her to poke her nose on his private life and he has all right to get angry. So she just waiting.

"If you know then you know" He finally speaks. Smile with a sadness in his eyes. So Eun can feel his despair and being sad for him. She keeps staring at him and decide to speak.

"But.... Isn't her reason to keep it a secret is for your good sake? She wants you to be happy on persuing your dream" He smile dryly, stating that she always put him before her self on anything.

"Do you think she wants to see you give up on your dream after her death? If you give up just like this, don't you think her sacrifice will just become in vain? " So Eun continue carefully, not intending to hurt him. He doesn't speak, and choose to be silent.

"So please.... Let's go to the Premiere, she would be happy to see you become succesful on the field that you love, shouldn't her?" So Eun never intent to meddling his life, she sincerelly care about him. She just wants to see more of his cheerful laugh, his perky side, just like today. And she assumed that modeling is the way to find his happiness.

"Fine" he finally speaks.

 "Just if you accompany me" he continue. She nods, smile brightly to him. She is really happy for his decisions .She is sincerely hope for his successful on the things he loves. Knowing her sincerity, he smiles back on her, feeling the warmth in his heart.
