“Can you believe him?” Sara said, irritated.

“What? I think he took it quite well.” Sylvia said, continuing with her drink.

“He wasn’t even in the slightest upset.”

“I told you, Blake is understanding. Your first thought was being frightened that he would get upset but look at him. He was fine, with not an ounce of hostility towards us. Now you are upset that he didn’t get upset; he only….” Sylvia said, and then in the middle of her sentence, she turned in the direction of Blake’s room.

Sylvia remembered. When Claire betrayed him, he disappeared for a few days.

“OH SHIT, BLAKE! BLAKE!” Sylvia yelled out and knocked frantically on his door. When no one answered, she opened the door to an empty room.

“Didn’t he want to sleep? Where is he?” Sara asked, following Sylvia into the room.

“Dam, he went into the small world.”

“Why the small world?”

“I didn’t think. Blake always took a shower before he went to bed, and this time he went straight into his bedroom to escape.”
