Chapter 12

Amikat's POV

"You're a beautiful girl, Amikat," he states. He crooks his head forward and buries his nose in the knape of my neck. "What's this?" He pulls my hair away from my shoulder, revealing the mark that Alpha Arienne had given me the night before. It's mostly healed now, leaving a silverish-blue circle with a star in the middle, kind of like a pentagram, but he star is filled in in the middle. It's honestly bealutiful. I reach up and try to cover it with my hand, but the vampire catches my wrist and pins my hand against the wall. He squeezes tightly, cutting off the circulation to my fingers, leaving a tingling sensation.

"You let him mark you already?" he whisper-yells. "How dare you? I wanted you all for myself, and that bastard has to go ruining things for me!"

"What do you mean you want me?" I ask. I know the answer already, but that doesn't make me like it any more.
