XXXVIII: Ceremony

Growing up with Kai and Caterina Volkov as my parents made me excited to one day meet my mate. They’re inseparable; my father worships the ground my mother walks on and to this day he would burn down cities if she asked it of him.

Now, as I walk with my mate to the edge of Volkov forest, I know the Goddess blessed me with someone who would gladly do the same. Everything we've been through, all the memories we have, the moments we shared; the tears, the fights, the arguments, and the laughs. It all would lead to this - our Claiming Ceremony.

The women in my family, including Luna Umiko and Yukihime, stand to the right while the men are on the left. The women are holding the white dress I am to wear for the ceremony, and even though Arkyn isn’t a Volkov, he’ll be wearing the same thing as all the Volkov men wear when they claim their mate.
