Ava’s POV
I honestly thought I was helping Lily. I thought I was doing something nice for someone and she would do the same for me. I did not think that she still held any grudges against me, but clearly, I was wrong.
You should be more careful. Tide said into my mind. We cannot smell lies or other emotions here like we could in the were world. Not all humans are friendly.
She was right in the werewolf world I was easily able to sense the lies, the fears and even the mistrust of those around us. Here amongst the humans, I felt as if everything was unclear.
