Seemed like a nightmare

Alpha Darren stood flanked by his men.

They were updating him about the new men they had admitted into training.

“Let me see them” He said, and they nodded, and they made for the training grounds.

“ Why's the number a bit on the low side?” He asked, wondering why the recruits seemed fewer.

His men looked at their feet.

Darren looked at them.

They couldn't find an explanation for it, he would have raised an issue about it, but he decided not to.

“And how is the training going?” He asked as he looked over the men sparring with each other.

“Alpha Darren” Cassandra greeted with a bow.

“Cassandra” he replied.l curtly.

“ I believe you've come to watch how the training goes?” She asked with a smile.

“No, I've come to spar” he said with finality in his words, knowing she might want to put up a little protest about how inexperienced they must be. And that was precisely what she did.
