Chapter 8 The Move That Amazed the Crowd

One night without talking, the next morning, as usual, Lu Yao got out of bed as the sun just came out.

After washing up, he went to the yard and began to practice.

The air in the morning was particularly fresh. After taking a deep breath, Lu Yao slightly bent his legs, slammed his feet on the ground, and suddenly pushed out his right palm. With the previous attempt, Lu Yao was full of confidence in his own training.

He even felt as if the air around him had been pushed away.

Ignoring the surroundings, Lu Yao's feet were constantly changing directions on the ground, and his palms were also pushed alternately. In the past, he could barely finish the first move of Mixed Spirit King Kong Skills, Tuiyun Hand. But now he could finish it at a stretch.

The sense of sore he felt similar as usual and an unspeakable sense of comfort made Lu Yao feel comfortable all over.

His whole body was dripping with sweat as if each pore had been gurgling like a small spring.

For an ordinary guy like Lu Yao who was also troubled by injuries and diseases, training became particularly important. And it was precisely because of that, Li Jiang decided to teach him the Mixed Spirit King Kong Skills, which had the best effect on the strengthening of the physical body.

Although Li Jiang was quite happy with Lu Yao's current speed of training, it was still far from the next stage. As a result, Li Jiang had not taught him other moves but had been asking him to continue to practice the Tuiyun Hand.

Lu Yao wanted to have the transcendent ability that Li Jiang said as soon as possible, but he also knew that cultivation of immortality was not a matter of overnight.

The sun had unknowingly climbed over the roof.

After practice, Lu Yao went into the house to wash his face, said hello to his adopted father, and went out with his schoolbag.

After walking for about half an hour, Lu Yao once again walked into the campus which had brought him some glories before.

After a period of silence, this once renowned person was looking for a blockbuster opportunity to shine again.

In Lu Yao's mind, there was no better chance to make those who cared about him proud and those who mocked him speechless than proving himself in the upcoming routine placement test of the senior of the high school.

The first class in the morning was the English class.

In the past, because of his illness, it was really difficult to memorize English words, so he was always ridiculed and embarrassed by the English teacher Liu Taibin.

But now, his memory had improved by leaps and bounds, and Lu Yao didn't want to be mocked by Liu Taibin again.

Although Lu Yao had been very patient, it didn't mean that Lu Yao had no temper. On the contrary, after he had the heart transplant surgery, Lu Yao's personality had changed a lot.

He now behaved as how "The Classic of Poetry" advised people to do, "Cultivate moral character and make it noble and beautiful. Behave cautiously and politely. People always imitate those who don't put others in a bad position. Return a favor with a favor."

He opened the textbook and read the English texts and words, which students were required to recite during the holiday.

After reading them for a while, Liu Taibin, the English teacher came into the classroom.

"Stand up!"

"Good Morning, Mr. Liu!"

"Morning, class. Please have a seat!"

Seeing that all the people had arrived, Liu Taibin held his glasses and said, "Minghui, please tell us the result of holiday homework!"

"Yes, Mr. Liu. There are sixty-five people in our class, and sixty-four people have handed their homework. There is only one missing, but it hasn't been handed in yet!" Chu Minghui gave a brief account of the homework. When he said that there was only one missing, he turned his head and took a contemptuous look at the direction of Lu Yao.

Through Chu Minghui's eyesight, the whole class knew that the one who didn't hand in his homework should be Lu Yao.

"Lu Yao, how come you have fallen to this field now? You even start not to hand in your homework? Mr. Yang still cared about you and encouraged you yesterday. Is this how you intend to pay back to him?" Liu Taibin stared closely at Lu Yao and said as if he had been righteous.

"Mr. Liu, it's not the case. I was ill and stayed in the hospital for days during the holiday, so I didn't finish my homework. I will hand it in before school is over today." Lu Yao explained.

Although he knew that Liu Taibin was chiming in with Chu Minghui to embarrass him, Lu Yao still felt that he was still a student after all and that he had made a mistake in not handing in his homework. Therefore, he sincerely explained this to him.

"It's not like what I said, so what is the truth?" Liu Taibin raised the corners of his mouth and said sarcastically, "Then recite what I asked you to memorize from the beginning, and let everyone make comments!"

As soon as he said this, people in the classroom made numerous sighs.

Someone said privately, "Are you kidding me? Who can fully remember five hundred words?"

"G-O-R-G-E, gorge. A-T-T-E-M-P-T, attempt..." However, Lu Yao pondered for a moment and then recited the five hundred words that were required by Liu Taibin one by one.

More than ten minutes later, Lu Yao finished reciting. Although he stuck several times in the middle, he recited all five hundred words. Everyone looked at Lu Yao in surprise.

In particular, Liu Taibin and Chu Minghui were not only surprised but also slightly unreconciled.

"Then you recite the fourth paragraph of the first section of Unit 5 from the last semester!" Liu Taibin's voice obviously raised several decibels and once again asked Lu Yao.

As soon as he said this, the voices of other students in the classroom were obviously louder than the first time.

"Finally, plan for the questions you will be asked and practise your answers. You can find lists of questions on various career websites..."

However, Lu Yao once again recited the text requested by Liu Taibin. But this time he took a relatively long time, and there were some relatively small mistakes.

However, all the students, including Chu Minghui, were a little surprised when Lu Yao was able to recite the randomly selected text to such an extent. Even Lin Jiayi, who had been bowing her head and taking care of her own study, also looked up at Lu Yao.

Although she had no other facial expression after she looked up, in Chu Minghui's eyes, the meaning was completely different.

Liu Taibin also felt a little embarrassed.

Was it possible that Lu Yao had been pretending to be stupid at all times?

This couldn't be right! He used to put Lu Yao in an awkward situation before, and every time he got what he wanted that he humiliated Lu Yao in front of the class. But how could it be like this now?

Liu Taibin also did not know what to do at the moment.

"Although you have recited the words and the text, it doesn't mean much. Maybe you are lucky enough to memorize them. If you actually study hard, you can also talk about the grammar that Mr. Liu repeatedly said in the final exam of last semester!" Chu Minghui suddenly stood up and said.

Seeing all of Liu Taibin's bad intentions were resolved by Lu Yao one by one, Chu Minghui was a little surprised. But he felt a bit comfortable when he realized he could also barely recite the content that Lu Yao recited. Finally, he recalled that some grammar points in the final exam last semester were very difficult. Although the teacher explained repeatedly, he still could not master some of them. So he wanted to use these to challenge Lu Yao.

"Minghui is right. Lu Yao, if you explain to us the grammar points that I repeatedly told you at the end of the last semester, I will admit that I have indeed wronged you, and you won't have to hand in your holiday homework. Otherwise, you will have to copy it twice, and you're not allowed to go home until you finish it!" While Liu Taibin was still struggling with how to crack down on Lu Yao's vigor, Chu Minghui's words reminded him.

"I really can't do that!" This time Lu Yao said directly.

After all, he was still left behind a lot. Word and text recitations could rely on his great memory to make up for, but grammar could not be mastered only by the short-term memory.

As soon as Lu Yao said this, Liu Taibin finally breathed a sigh of breath in his heart.

"While the priest climbs a post, the devil climbs ten! I don't believe you can still embarrass me!" Liu Taibin thought in his heart.

"Then as I said, copy the holiday homework twice, and don't go home until you finish it!" Liu Taibin said sternly.

"All right, let's start the lecture now."

Although it still ended with the success of Liu Taibin and Chu Minghui's little trick this time, the way the rest of the class looked at Lu Yao changed a lot.

Some people even vaguely felt that the former outstanding student would be back!

...

Lu Yao now had a good state of mind and could calmly accept the pediatric punishment from Liu Taibin.

At present, Lu Yao was still a senior high school student, and he still had to give priority to his studies. Although the task of copying the holiday homework twice would be a bit heavy, he could quickly make up for what he had left behind in this way.

As the saying went, “The palest ink was better than the best memory!”

In the next few classes, no one tried to embarrass Lu Yao. Therefore, time passed quickly.

In the twinkling of an eye, it was time to finish school in the afternoon.

Han Dong was supposed to meet with his friends in the sporting club to play basketball today. But when he saw that Lu Yao was still copying his homework, he went up to him, patted Lu Yao on the shoulder, and said, "You are amazing today. I believe that few people in the class can reach that level of the recitation that you had today!"

After listening to Han Dong's words, Lu Yao raised his head and said, "Dong, I know you are trying to comfort me. Don't worry. I'll be fine. I'll go home after copying these. Go and play your basketball!"

Lu Yao felt extremely comfortable in his heart, and he should really be grateful to have such a good friend.

"Go ahead. I'm really fine!"

Lu Yao saw that Han Dong was still hesitating, so he got up, pushed Han Dong by the shoulder, and pushed him towards the classroom door.

"Well, Lu Yao, you should go home early, too!"

Han Dong saw that Lu Yao had a good mentality and understood that he was not hurt by what happened today. So he did not insist on it any longer and walked outside with the basketball in his arms.

In the classroom at this time, except for a few students who were in residence, only Lu Yao and Chu Minghui were still there.

Lu Yao did not leave because he had not finished copying his holiday homework twice while Chu Minghui did not leave because he had to stay and supervise Lu Yao.

Although Chu Minghui also knew Lu Yao's character that Lu Yao would be disdained to practice fraud, Chu Minghui still wanted to stay and see Lu Yao's embarrassment with his own eyes.

Lu Yao did not take these to heart at all and immersed himself in his study wholeheartedly.

Now he began to copy it for the second time. Through the first time of copying, he found that many obscure grammar points had gradually become clear and simple.
