“Hey, Allie!”

I let out a groan at the annoying voice of Tristan Wright.

Since I resumed work today, he have been bugging me. And I wonder if there was more to his nagging.

It wasn't as if I couldn't ignore his small talk and move on to what I wanted; it was the fact that he always intercepted me when I tried to ignore him.

And believe me, I tried everything I knew to move away from him.

Yet, nothing worked.

“What do you want?” I glowered at him.

“Just making sure you are well settled in.” He flashed me a smile as he sat on my desk.

Grasping my pen, he tapped it on the desk, annoying me further.

“I need no monitoring. Besides, I am doing quite alright.” I flashed him a tight-lipped smile, hoping he'd catch the hint that I didn't want to speak with him.

But he didn't seem as though he was intelligent enough.

“Hey, don't be like that,” Tristan said.

I heaved a breath and shoved the rude retort down to the back of my throat.
