I thought we were going far. I was expected to be blindfolded and taken to another unknown location. The way he hauled me into the car made everything suspicious. There was a little redness in my arms as I snapped out of his grip. This time, I had a clear picture of him; he was indeed a man to swoon over. The way Kayla talked about him,he felt like a god all over Italy. I never understood it until now.

"I didn't do anything. I quietly said It was a lie, and even I found it difficult to believe. The question was if he believed me. He couldn't just come here if something wasn't wrong; something must have happened that he had to drive here to embarrass me.

"Do you believe that? He narrowed his eyes at me.

"Yes, of course. He laughed. His laughter was like music to my ears, but it indeed had a mocking tone to it. "If you brought me here to lock me up, you should just say it."

"Mock you, amore? Nah. I came here to get something out of you."
