chapter 126

The hospital room stayed frozen for what felt like hours. After what Ella signed and after Cane interpreted what she said to Dante and Harvey, not a single person said a word.

I stared at Ella as she stared back at me with those bloodshot blue eyes.

I glanced at Dante over my shoulder as he cleared his throat.

"What would you like to do?" He asked me.

There was only one answer. I wanted that woman dead. But before I could speak, Ella reached for me again and placed her small hand on my forearm.

I glanced back at her.

"I want to go home." She slowly signed.

"We should probably stay for the rest of the dat and the night, let them monitor you..." I started, but she shook her head.

She placed her right hand flat against her chest and did a circular motion clockwise, signing the word Please.

I let out a sign before I moved my eyes to Cane.

"Go check if she's allowed to leave yet." I ordered. Cane nodded his head before he left the room.

I then looked at Dante.
