Chapter 1340

Jace rushed back to the hotel room almost in a flash.

When he arrived at the door, he felt his pocket and realized he did not have his room card. The card was in Sage's possession.

Without a choice, he had to knock on the door.

A moment later, a lazy voice came from the room, "Who's there?"

Jace smiled meekly. "Sage, it's me."

"Who are you?"

"I'm...I'm Jace."

The hotel had great soundproofing. Sage's voice was a little distorted through the door. Even so, Jace could hear the hint of playfulness in her voice.

"Oh, sorry. My husband isn't around. He went out to lift some weight. You can come back another day."
