Chapter 12: A Taste

What was he going to do? She wondered, perplexed by his action. The door paved way further as he strode into the room.

"What are you doing?" She inquired, watching his every move carefully. He seemed way too relaxed and unfazed by her nervousness. He slowly let the door close behind him and now it was just the two of them within these walls.

"Making sure you're safe." Andre replied as he began to move about her room, scanning everywhere with his eyes to catch a hint of danger.

"I told you it was my brother." She spoke behind him as he walked towards her window. He played with the curtains before taking a quick look outside through it. Matilda's heart was racing. If he tried anything stupid she was going to scream at the top of her voice.

Andre took one last tour of the room before turning to face her. " You have a comfortable place." He tried to compliment. Matilda raised a brow wondering if he really thought so.
