TESSA

I gazed out at the vast stretch of land before us, It's so dark in here that I barely see a thing. When I'm in my wolf form, my vision is much sharper, but in my human form, it's not so. The tension felt more palpable as my vision was restricted.

The weight pressed down not only on me but on everyone else. Even the warriors who'd faced brutal battles before seemed to be on edge. I can sense their anxiety, they are all afraid, worried, just like me.

As I stood there, I found myself repeating a familiar mantra,

'To improve is to step out of the safe zone.'

If I didn't take this step now, when would I ever?

The option to retreat was still open, but I wasn't taking it. That had to count for something, didn't it?

I stood with the other warriors, all of us tall and ready, waiting for any command from Frederick.

We are now beyond the border, outside the safety of our pack. In other words, everyone here is now depending on their individual strengths.
