Chapter 23

( Iris's POV )

I entered the prayer room. I should be thanking Eva for my prayer outfit. She changed it with her powers as I can't use mine now. It is just hard leaving her there but for a fact I know that Kane and at some level my mate will also protect her. But she was always protected by me in the past so it was hard to leave her on her own. But I think she is ready, now she has got her powers and she should learn to handle Kingdome as well and of something goes down, she knows where to find me. I really hope that it won't come to that and I can get my answers from moon goddess before that happens.

As I was about to close the door a hand stopped mine and pushed open the door and entered. And no need to guess who it was as I can tell from the sparks on my hand that it was Alpha. As he entered, he was still holding my hand.

"I can't let you do this" he said and I got angry. What the hell is wrong with him
