Chapter 98: "A Living Tree"
Kris could sense that Lt. Jim was starting to act weird. As they journey, he was trying to avoid any conversation with her. She decided to not think about it because she has to face bigger things ahead.
They were getting nearer to the east part of Agartha. Des was a little bit exhausted. So, she decided to stopped.
“Can we rest for a while?”, asked Des. Her knees were shaking due to fatigue and tiredness.
“Sure, are you okay?”, asked Kris.
She came nearer to Des and looked her in the eye.
“You need anything?”, asked Kris. Her eyes looked so worried.
“I am so thirsty, I need some water”, replied Des.
Kris noticed that her lips cracked due to lack of water. She felt compassion towards her.
Unfortunately, there was no river near at the eastern part. So, Kris looked around, she needs to do something about it or else her poor friend will die because of drought.
