BRAXTON POV

Rollings and Christian quickly came to my side as I stood up from the table to face my father's wolf. "How dare I? How dare you AND mother! You are NOT the Alpha anymore and yet you both still think that you can make decisions for ME!" I boomed, Jackson was pushing his way to the front and I let him just a little so that I still had enough control to reign him in if the need should arise.

My father was shaking with fury. "You were told that you HAD to find a mate by your twentieth birthday or forfeit the title!"

I stepped closer to him and saw that my mother quickly came up behind her mate to help calm his temper. I stared at him in the eyes, showing him that I would not bow down. "I NEVER agreed to any such deal! I would never settle for any woman that is not MY MATE!"

I looked at Alpha Roger before I continued. "Alpha Roger, if you wish to make an alliance with Shimmering Falls Pack, then we can meet in my office to talk in specifics, but it will not be through m
