After Ayden's apology, things generally got better for the both of us. He came home later that afternoon and when I asked about the bland apology, he scratched the back of his and admitted that he wasn't used to giving apologies.

Perhaps he wasn't like Alpha Calvin after all.

"I'm not used to that kind of stuff. But.." he paused, he looked like he had a tough time saying whatever was on his mind. I folded my arms and waited for him to speak.

"I'm.. I'm sorry for the way I raised my voice, it was unnecessary." He apologized and my face lit up. I smiled broadly at him and he smiled back as well, but only for a millisecond.

"That's better." I nodded.

"I need to take a bath, today's training was stressful." He said and climbed the stairs up to his room. I also went back to my room, having nothing else to do.

I quickly got bored in my room, there was nothing to do. Scrolling through social media has also become boring. Plus Chloe wasn't active online.
