Eva's POV

But as he did that but up for a moment, I felt my back burned with something that I wasn't sure of. It was when he looked into my eyes, that was when I realized that Mark had just lash my back with the whip and as he beat me up, he continued to kiss me.

I cried so hard that he continued to do that. He didn't let me pull away from him. He continued to hit me but later he stopped and placed a slow, long, kiss on my lips and before I knew it, he left and once again, I was locked in the dark room with the bruises on my body. I shouldn't have disobeyed him. I just shouldn't have done that. Then I thought of Ria. What would happen to her now? Since we swam together. She was the one who brought up the idea if swimming anyways. I hope Lowell isn't dealing with her like Alpha Mark is doing to me.

As the hours passed by, I tried to sleep but the thought of Ria kept me awake. I could only hope that Lowell would show mercy on Ria and not punish her like Mark was punishing me.
