Maya's Killer

Elena - POV

"No, I killed her." Emily's voice dripped with bitterness. "Janice, disguised as Maya, initially acted cryptic, and I thought she was investigating the Pack for traitors. I went to great lengths to gain Maya's trust and learn the true colors of what she knew. I discovered Janice's deceit the day Maya allowed me into her circle. She had also pretended to have a mate bond with my son. I had planned to eliminate Maya using a special poison and hire an assassin to care for that woman."

"How is she still alive if you killed her?" I questioned, both curious and perplexed by Emily's confession.

"I thought I had killed her, but somehow she managed to survive. I don't know how," Emily replied in frustration. I noticed ten missed calls from Cindy on my phone. As Emily fell silent, a flood of revelations washed over me.

"Elena, I ask you to keep this secret between us for now," I said, pulling over the car near the Minnesota studio. "I want Silas and you to take down Janice and fi
