Chapter 30: Come Quickly, Rico’s Grouchy
Turning off the desktop in her temporary office Tiana proceeded to clear her desk, her work here was done and she was glad for it. Rico had found a substitute for her so she was to meet him and her family at Kanen Caterers. Tara, he and her would head to the penthouse to go over her report. Tonight was no doubt going to be a long one, she thought grimly. His absence in her life for the past three weeks left an ache in her. Well, it wasn’t like he had been absent all this while, what she meant was that she hadn’t really seen him in the past three weeks…their only discussion had been work alone. She had briefed him along with the Heads of Departments last week during the regular bi-weekly staff meeting and rushed down here immediately after.
