Fancywear!

Although lighter than a feather, the letter felt heavy in my hand due to my emotions. I swallowed hard, reading it over and over. Was I hallucinating?

It was a nightmare; meeting Darco was nothing but a nightmare. So why was I holding an actual note from the dark alpha?

I folded it so I could put it in my pocket but as soon as I did that, it crumpled into ashes, as if it had been burned up in flames.

A chill ran down my spine as I stared at the ashes in my hands. The situation sank in, and my heart fluttered. It couldn’t be real, could it?

I questioned my sanity, wondering if the nightmare had somehow crossed into my waking moments.

“It was just a dream, it was just a dream,” I repeated like a mantra as I threw the ashes from my hand, it being carried away by the wind that was swirling from the opened window.

With a knot in my throat, I decided to call it a night. I crawled back into my bed, hugged my duvet, and prayed that I would not see the face of the dark alpha in my subconsci
