Chapter 180

Kane's POV

“Fucking nymphs, man,” Glenn screams as we walk into my hotel room. “What’s wrong with them?”

I put my finger in front of my lips. “Do you know you’re screaming?” I ask in his head.

“No, my fucking ears are still ringing.”

He is pissed and ready to start tearing off limbs. I’ve wondered what it would take for him to finally lose his temper. Apparently, an apathetic nymph watching us walk to our deaths was the last straw. He’s been ranting and raving ever since we snuck away.

I called in Willow’s guards and ordered them to get a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow, we’re invading The Templar church, and it’s going to be an impossible battle, but I have no idea what else we can do. I open a bottle of whiskey and pour two glasses, handing one to Glenn. We down the whiskey where we stand.

“Go get some sleep,” I say, and take the empty glass from Glenn.

“You too.”

“I’ll try.”
