A day in prison

“NO!” Mavis could not believe this, she scrambled to her feet with difficulty and then tried to make herself look pitiful. She toned her voice down and said to the warden, “Please let me go to the magic council. I did not commit crimes to be locked up in the Frost Gate prison. I am certain if you talk to the head of the magic council they will relay it to you.” She had to get out of this place! No matter what.

“Sure liar,” the woman said to her with a light chuckle. Her grey eyes took a quick look at her. She said to Mavis, “You are a dark witch, everyone knows that for a witch their hands are the key to their life. Yet the alpha of your pack snapped your arms and tore them apart from your body. Do you still claim that you did nothing wrong?” Saying this the woman left the prison, behind her she left a loaf of bread which was dried and stale along with a glass of water.
