Lilly hugged Ellie tight round the neck, Ellie felt her heart melt at the tender touch of Lilly’s fingers on her cheeks. Ellie was just so touched by the little gesture.
“Thank you so much Lilly, it is one of the best gift I’ve ever received, I love it” Ellie said emotionally, her pain was lo g forgotten. It was as if, Lilly was the cure she had been waiting for.
Ellie carried her to the bed and sat her down on it, she looked at Ezra and muttered a thank you to him, he acknowledged her with a nod, he walked to his desk and resumed work, leaving the ladies alone.
“I miss your pretty little face around here” Ellie told Lilly as she gently laid her drawing on the table beside the bed, she would have the picture framed and hung on her walls. “How has school been?”
“Fine” Lilly shrugged
