Chapter 64

Naomi's POV

Wiping the bead of perspiration from my forehead, I continued my backwards movement until I crashed into the chest of the man in black cloak.

Turning in my direction, he took off his mask and then flashed me a coy smile which did nothing but to heighten my fears.

“I never knew a little effort was all I needed to lure you out of the palace.” The man said, pushing my hair away from my face.

When he attempted the same thing the second time, I slapped his hand off only to receive a resounding slap that sent me staggering the next minute.

Holding onto my cheeks with my eyes watering, I tried to stand still but I couldn't.

“I should have just stayed back.” I mumbled, still rubbing my burning cheek. It had been a while since I felt this kind of pain and it seemed like I was going to die from it the next minute.

“Shut up, we need to find answers.” My wolf snarled back.
