DAMIAN’s POV.

Our flight landed in Moscow but all through the journey to the meeting, my mind was fixated on her. I didn’t want to leave her alone all by herself but I also couldn’t miss this meeting. Kourtney promised me she would take care of her but my mind was still not settled. I had a feeling she was going to do something stupid. She couldn’t be fully trusted but then again, I couldn’t leave the meeting alone. I was needed here just as much as she needed me too.

“Alpha!” Marcus called out, jolting me out of my train of thought, “you seem lost in thought. What’s going on?”

“How long do we have to stay here?”

“We leave for New York the day after tomorrow,” he answered. That response didn’t settle well with me. I didn’t want to stay here until then, I wanted to be close to her and make sure she doesn’t run away.

“Let’s reschedule” I told him, not leaving any room for arguments, “we will leave for New York after this meeting. We can have the rest via a zoom meeting”
