MasukLuca's POV
It had been two months since I had been back into this city that screamed familiarity. Everyone had only heard of Luca Airline & Transportation but they've never met its CEO—the successful CEO which is me.
The first thing I had looked for when I came back was Sabrina and I found out she was still married to that scumbag. Not that I didn't want her to be in a happy-ever-after marriage, but she was mine to begin with. He had taken her from me then and now I'm back, all prepared to take back what's mine.
As if fate were on my side, I found out she wasn't happy—Not in that marriage. Not in that prison.
Haynes Chadwick! That asshole! He treated her like a worthless person, like someone who deserved no respect, but for once—I'd thank him because he'd give me the perfect opening to take her back.
It had been just few hours after the latest Ventimiglia family scandal which had thrown the media into chaos and confusion. I had someone watch Sabrina as I knew she'd be vulnerable, trying to find a way out of her situation.
I could help her—in less than 24hours, but I wouldn't because I needed something to bargain with. It made me end up on the top floor of Haynes Chadwick's company as I was curious about Sabrina who I had watched go up there earlier.

Pinning her to the wall, fingers grazing her cheeks, memories crashed in—ones I had never for once tried to forget.
Those brown eyes of hers that always looked at me with nothing but sincerity and all the love in the world, now looked at me with what seems like fear and uncertainty.
"Don't you miss me??" I asked, hoping that maybe—maybe her words could be different from what I was thinking, different from the gesture her eyes were giving but I could see through her. She clearly didn't.
It made me want to go crazy, pour out everything I've always wanted to say to her, about how I almost went crazy losing her to one scumbag because I wasn't capable enough to protect her then, yell at her for not trusting me and shattering my heart into pieces so small I couldn't even pick the shards. But instead, my hands just trailed down to her lips, my lustful gaze lingering on them. It made me realize—I missed those lips.
She was Haynes Chadwick's wife at the moment but I didn't give a damn. I crashed my lips against hers, savouring both lips. I'd face the consequences of my actions later.
She kissed me back, our lips syncing in rhythm, and the kiss lasted for quite a while. I released her lips, holding her gaze. I expected her to yell, or worse—slap me across the face but she didn't. Maybe I was wrong about what those eyes were saying earlier. My hands caressed her face, our breaths fanning against each other. I wanted to say more. Tell her more about how I was feeling at the moment but something disrupted the moment—the clicking sound of a camera.
"Whoa" the word came after, making me realize that someone was watching us.
My face twitched to the back and there he was—Haynes Chadwick. He smirked, his phone in hand and his camera still pointed at us, the asshole had taken a picture. I clenched my jaws as Sabrina quickly pushed me away, straightening her dress.
"What a romantic scene this is. How great would it look when it reaches the media?" Haynes asked, still wearing his devilish smirk but that only sounded like a threat to me. He's got intention to create another scandal for Sabrina and this time, it would be involving me.
I could only watch him as he walked to Sabrina, his hands tucked in his pockets. I didn't know how worse their marriage was but I swear—I might kill Haynes if he touches her right in front of me.
He smirked, "I thought I had a faithful wife, turns out you were just being a green snake under the grass. You sure have some audacity. The divorce haven't even been finalized but here you are kissing a man right in my company" He gestured to the side. "Need to make out?? You can use my office"
Of all the words he said, my ears got stuck on one. They are getting a divorce.
Sabrina's gaze lingered on Haynes, she couldn't utter a word. The way she stared at him couldn't make me fathom what was going on in her head. She was probably feeling guilty about getting caught kissing a man by her husband.
Sabrina proved me wrong when she took a step closer to Haynes. Her gaze sending cold shivers down his spine.
"Why?? You can get back with your ex, why can't I get back with mine??" She asked and that left me shocked. I never expected it.
Haynes eyes widened as his gaze flicked between Sabrina and I.
"Your ex??" He asked. "That guy from then??" He added, as he ran his gaze over me in disdain.
"Yes, my ex—Luca McCorkindale!" Sabrina spat and his lips parted in disbelief.
"Plus, after making me sign the divorce papers, you think you have a say in my life anymore??" Sabrina added.
She already signed the papers and now she's done with him. It made me feel something in my stomach, the fact that I was getting closer to getting her back.
"I dare you to leak that picture, Haynes Chadwick" I said. With that, I took Sabrina's hand and opened the elevator but she jerked her hands away.
I knew it, "getting back with my ex" as she had said was just at the spur of the moment. She just needed something against Haynes.
Haynes cleared his throat and got into the elevator with us facing me almost immediately—If only he'd be silent.
"So?? So what?? What if you are Luca McCorkindale??" He scoffed and I didn't give a response. I just had my hands tucked in my pocket while I watch him rant.
Desperately craving for attention, he faced Sabrina.
"You really have no shame, do you?? And I assure you, this is just the beginning" he whispered. Sabrina's hands curled into fists. She was trapped—torn between Haynes and his threats.
The elevator doors opened and Sabrina was the first to walk out while I followed closely behind her although it was obvious she was trying to keep her distance.
"Let me drive you" I said, breaking the silence between us.
"Stay clear from me, Luca! I don't need you in my life!" The words came as a sharp knife piercing through my heart. I had always needed her in my life, by my side but to her—I'm nothing.
Sabrina's POV“Mom, how are you doing?” My voice was low, but I tried not to show the tiredness in my tone. “I heard about what happened to your husband. I'm so sorry” she said. News travels far. Of course, it would be when a lot of people had been made to watch him helpless on the main road before Sam got him out of that road. “He’ll be fine Mom, don't get worried” I assured. I know my Mom, she might freak out once she gets to know he wouldn't be waking up anytime soon. Mom and I talked about some other things, like her wanting to bring me dinner in the hospital. She had been discharged, has an apartment she's living in now, and she's totally fine like the doctor had said. A few minutes later, we were going to hang up. That moment, I recalled something. My father. I needed to clear everything up. Haynes, the thought about my dad, the need to find him, every damn crisis that needs to be taken care of, everything….“Mom, can I visit today? I want to hear about Dad if you are r
Sabrina's POVGrandpa was seated on the stool in the middle of the room, his gaze darting between his two grandchildren. I also sat on a stool beside him, narrating all that had happened with Lilith and Haynes and how everything got to this. I could feel his anger, the way his fingers curled like he wanted to crush Haynes at the moment. And yes, he surely wants to. “I’m sorry, Grandpa. I…” His voice rose, cutting mine off with one sharp and swift word. “No,” he said. “Not your fault, Sabrina. It's that motherfucker that needs to show me how sorry he is” he fumed. “And I swear, I'll kill that ex-husband of yours” he gritted. At that moment, the thought of having to think that Haynes was once my ex made bile rise in my throat and it made me want to puke so badly. Grandpa stood up, heading to Lilith on the bed. He held her hand and I watched. The way his caress was so soft and affectionate made me realize how happy this family had been. Maybe not so happy, maybe all so fucked u
Sabrina’s POV“Please, get me a stretcher!” The moment I parked the car in front of Luca’s hospital, I yelled. The nurses outside quickly went inside, coming back with a stretcher in seconds.“What happened, ma’am?” One of the nurses asked as she towered over Lilith on the stretcher, examining her body.“She fainted due to shock,” I replied, breathlessly.“What the hell happened to her, her face is all battered!!” The nurse yelled over the loud noises of machines and cries in the hospital.“Just get her treated, please” I pleaded, not a hint of frustration in my voice. She went silent, and checked her pulse, then she undoed the first few buttons of Lilith's shirt before applying CPR.Just then, a doctor approached, sliding the sleeve of her gown up to arm’s length.“Move, I'll take her. She's McCorkindale's only daughter” the doctor said, having them wheel her into one of the VIP rooms.Once she had been transferred into the bed, an oxygen mask was placed above her nose and mouth, and
Sabrina's POV How on earth could I possibly choose Lilith over Luca? I love Luca so much, and can't imagine a life without him. And how on earth can I choose Luca over Lilith in this dangerous situation? He will make me watch as he kills her and I would forever blame myself for it. Luca will blame me once he is safe, and even if he doesn't, I will never be able to forgive myself. I can't choose. I don't know how I'm supposed to. “Please, Haynes. Please let Luca go…..” I choked on my tears. “People can still save him, he can still live” I cried. “And kill Lilith?” He asked. Fucking no. I'm not asking for that. “No,” I replied sharply. “I don't know….take me. I should be enough for the two, right?” I said the words like in bargaining to buy rice in a local market. Trying to sell myself off to buy the two siblings of the McCorkindale's. If only Grandpa knows about this, then he would be able to save everyone without me having to choose. “I told you, Sabrina. You'd have to c
Sabrina's POV I saw the text when Luca opened it. Lilith had been beaten. Haynes, that asshole! Luca had talked about this. Heavens! Only if she had gotten out of there sooner. Now, he doesn't want me to come, but I don't give a fuck about his words at the moment, Lilith is in danger. I rushed out of bed, picking my clothes and putting them on in a hurry. I have to follow Luca, because I only saw a glimpse of the address dropped. All I saw was 5 en route, and the direction of the turns, but I was sure another message would drop after that. I sat outside. Kelly was in the sitting room, and she panicked, seeing me rushing down the stairs.“Is everything okay, ma'am?” Her voice was shaky. I tapped her shoulder as I sprinted past her. “Get Sam to call me, Kelly. It's important” With that, I rushed outside. I wouldn't want to forget to call Sam to tell him about the current situation so it would be better if I have to pick his call instead. I got into the car and onto the road im
Luca's POV “I talked her out of it” Sabrina chuckled, thinking about how she had told Lilith not to do what she had done. “I mean, get involved with Haynes. And now it sounds funny that we are in support of what she has done” Sabrina added.Haynes had been damaged, and if the companies he collaborated with through corrupted means decided to press charges, he would end up in prison. “I know right” I replied to Sabrina, caressing her hair. I had found out about Lilith meeting up with Haynes the night Sabrina's mother's case was publicized while I was investigating. I knew she had something up her sleeve, I just didn't expect it to be extraordinary like this. “You must be lucky to have a sibling like her,” Sabrina said. She lifted her gaze to look at me. I was supposed to reply but I felt something spark between us. We stared at each other like we were mind linking, and she lifted her head from my chest, bringing her lips closer to mine. I captured her lips and groaned into the
