Luca's POV
It had been two months since I had been back into this city that screamed familiarity. Everyone had only heard of Luca Airline & Transportation but they've never met its CEO—the successful CEO which is me.
The first thing I had looked for when I came back was Sabrina and I found out she was still married to that scumbag. Not that I didn't want her to be in a happy-ever-after marriage, but she was mine to begin with. He had taken her from me then and now I'm back, all prepared to take back what's mine.
As if fate were on my side, I found out she wasn't happy—Not in that marriage. Not in that prison.
Haynes Chadwick! That asshole! He treated her like a worthless person, like someone who deserved no respect, but for once—I'd thank him because he'd give me the perfect opening to take her back.
It had been just few hours after the latest Ventimiglia family scandal which had thrown the media into chaos and confusion. I had someone watch Sabrina as I knew she'd be vulnerable, trying to find a way out of her situation.
I could help her—in less than 24hours, but I wouldn't because I needed something to bargain with. It made me end up on the top floor of Haynes Chadwick's company as I was curious about Sabrina who I had watched go up there earlier.

Pinning her to the wall, fingers grazing her cheeks, memories crashed in—ones I had never for once tried to forget.
Those brown eyes of hers that always looked at me with nothing but sincerity and all the love in the world, now looked at me with what seems like fear and uncertainty.
"Don't you miss me??" I asked, hoping that maybe—maybe her words could be different from what I was thinking, different from the gesture her eyes were giving but I could see through her. She clearly didn't.
It made me want to go crazy, pour out everything I've always wanted to say to her, about how I almost went crazy losing her to one scumbag because I wasn't capable enough to protect her then, yell at her for not trusting me and shattering my heart into pieces so small I couldn't even pick the shards. But instead, my hands just trailed down to her lips, my lustful gaze lingering on them. It made me realize—I missed those lips.
She was Haynes Chadwick's wife at the moment but I didn't give a damn. I crashed my lips against hers, savouring both lips. I'd face the consequences of my actions later.
She kissed me back, our lips syncing in rhythm, and the kiss lasted for quite a while. I released her lips, holding her gaze. I expected her to yell, or worse—slap me across the face but she didn't. Maybe I was wrong about what those eyes were saying earlier. My hands caressed her face, our breaths fanning against each other. I wanted to say more. Tell her more about how I was feeling at the moment but something disrupted the moment—the clicking sound of a camera.
"Whoa" the word came after, making me realize that someone was watching us.
My face twitched to the back and there he was—Haynes Chadwick. He smirked, his phone in hand and his camera still pointed at us, the asshole had taken a picture. I clenched my jaws as Sabrina quickly pushed me away, straightening her dress.
"What a romantic scene this is. How great would it look when it reaches the media?" Haynes asked, still wearing his devilish smirk but that only sounded like a threat to me. He's got intention to create another scandal for Sabrina and this time, it would be involving me.
I could only watch him as he walked to Sabrina, his hands tucked in his pockets. I didn't know how worse their marriage was but I swear—I might kill Haynes if he touches her right in front of me.
He smirked, "I thought I had a faithful wife, turns out you were just being a green snake under the grass. You sure have some audacity. The divorce haven't even been finalized but here you are kissing a man right in my company" He gestured to the side. "Need to make out?? You can use my office"
Of all the words he said, my ears got stuck on one. They are getting a divorce.
Sabrina's gaze lingered on Haynes, she couldn't utter a word. The way she stared at him couldn't make me fathom what was going on in her head. She was probably feeling guilty about getting caught kissing a man by her husband.
Sabrina proved me wrong when she took a step closer to Haynes. Her gaze sending cold shivers down his spine.
"Why?? You can get back with your ex, why can't I get back with mine??" She asked and that left me shocked. I never expected it.
Haynes eyes widened as his gaze flicked between Sabrina and I.
"Your ex??" He asked. "That guy from then??" He added, as he ran his gaze over me in disdain.
"Yes, my ex—Luca McCorkindale!" Sabrina spat and his lips parted in disbelief.
"Plus, after making me sign the divorce papers, you think you have a say in my life anymore??" Sabrina added.
She already signed the papers and now she's done with him. It made me feel something in my stomach, the fact that I was getting closer to getting her back.
"I dare you to leak that picture, Haynes Chadwick" I said. With that, I took Sabrina's hand and opened the elevator but she jerked her hands away.
I knew it, "getting back with my ex" as she had said was just at the spur of the moment. She just needed something against Haynes.
Haynes cleared his throat and got into the elevator with us facing me almost immediately—If only he'd be silent.
"So?? So what?? What if you are Luca McCorkindale??" He scoffed and I didn't give a response. I just had my hands tucked in my pocket while I watch him rant.
Desperately craving for attention, he faced Sabrina.
"You really have no shame, do you?? And I assure you, this is just the beginning" he whispered. Sabrina's hands curled into fists. She was trapped—torn between Haynes and his threats.
The elevator doors opened and Sabrina was the first to walk out while I followed closely behind her although it was obvious she was trying to keep her distance.
"Let me drive you" I said, breaking the silence between us.
"Stay clear from me, Luca! I don't need you in my life!" The words came as a sharp knife piercing through my heart. I had always needed her in my life, by my side but to her—I'm nothing.
Sabrina's POV"What do you mean by that? How are you....Lucas Don?" Emily stuttered, the reality dawning on her at the moment. She still didn't want to believe it but she was forced to when she saw proof that the person she conversed with earlier was truly Luca. Her hands went to her mouth as she gasped in disbelief. Luca smirked and I also couldn't hold back a smile. That look of terror on her face made everything in me so satisfied. Memories of how she had treated me when I was married to Haynes not coming back to haunt or torture me, but they came back to let me know that I was doing great not sitting in bed, acting like a sadist because of what they had done to me, because of how they had treated me. "You brought the documents? Then I'd like us to sign" Luca said and before she could protest, he had already grabbed the documents, tearing it open from the envelope as he glanced through it reading the clauses. Emily had already signed on it and all that remains was Luca's signatur
Sabrina's POVHe's mean, and I don't think I would ever be able to understand him. This minute he's nice, making my heart flutter, making my heart face, making my cheeks flush, making me want him. But the next, I think he hates me and just wants to ruin me. Think that I disgusts him, and his gaze would nearly kill me. Just like a moment ago, it was just like his memory was triggered and then he had just came back to his senses realizing that I don't deserve to be sitting on his laps, that I don't deserve to be that close to him in a scenery that looks more like romance. Fuck him. I'm the one who keeps getting swayed. We were both working together but he sent me out amidst that?I grumbled annoyingly as I threw myself onto the bed, punching my pillow repeatedly like I would have loved to do to Luca. I imagined showering his chest with these punches and then he gets a hold of my hand and pull me into himself. Stupid. He won't do that. I'm just someone he married because of revenge.
Luca's POVI made her sit on my leg as I watched her go still. Shocked. Nervous. It made me smile. Right at the moment, I knew I was supposed to give us some distance, to maybe let her go with what I had discovered, but having myself think about it even makes me want to punch myself. No matter what happens, I'm holding tightly onto her unless she's willing to leave by herself. "Watch and learn, Sabrina. How to use power to acquire more power" I told her. Her body tensed up, eyes moving to the laptop as her butts now settled down comfortably on my laps. I clicked some buttons on the laptop while making her watch and then I created an account using a foreign name, then entered the Chadwick's Corporations website wanting to buy some shares. She's not new to business, so she knew exactly what I was doing without me having to say a word. "You....want to buy his company shares?" She asked. "What better revenge is best for a start than having him lose everything?" I asked, tilting h
Haynes POVI couldn't get enough sleep because my mind couldn't stop drifting to what I had seen on Luca's phone earlier. There was a trust funds of a Hundred trillion dollar and I couldn't help but think about how half a quarter of that money would solve all my current problems. Damn! Half a quarter of that money could make up for the mess Camilla had left for me to clean. But how? Just how do I get my hands on it. I don't think I could, no matter how much I thought about it. There was no way to get through to Luca's phone not to talk of getting it opened. The only person who would be able to get that for me would be Sabrina, if so, then I have to do everything to bring her back to me. My thoughts were disorganized when a call came in through the office telephone. I picked it up as I had seen that it was my secretary. "Boss, the shareholders are holding a meeting, and they would like you to be present" she said, and I almost cursed at her, wanting to tell her that she's crazy. "
Sabrina's POV"What do you mean by that?" She asked, the verified fool still not getting what I mean. "Wake up Camilla. This is a fucking mall" I gritted in low voice, and that made her realize, that she wouldn't be able to do me a bit of harm inside here. "And...wait! Do you think I came alone?" I laughed, and there also came the shock on her face. Then Sam emerged from the distance where he was standing and I could see the look on Camilla's face. I bet Sam's broad figure and dark gaze got her intimidated. I smirked, then moved closer to her, leaning in close to her ears to whisper. "Stay warned, Camilla. Don't try shit with me the next time, else I will be the one to deal with you" I warned, and it wasn't ending there, she needed more. "Stay quiet. Don't even make a sound near me, Camilla. And I will forget about whatever it is you have done to torment me" I added, then leaned back, standing upright. I placed my hands on her shoulder and watched as she stood dumbfounded. "I
Sabrina's POVLuca..... I couldn't help but become worried about him. His mood changed since we got to the nursing home, just as if my Mom's condition shocked him so much. Sitting on the sofa while I stare at a blank space, all I could think about was him. I wondered where he had went to after we both left his hospital, one thing I was sure of was the fact that he didn't go back to his company. A thought crossed my mind and that was to call him, but I decided against it as he might nag me for calling him, but heck! I was worried. I was lost in this thought when my phone rang, making me jolt. I picked it up to see the caller ID and it was unknown. Hesitating for a while, I ended up picking it up. "Long time, isn't it?" The voice from the other end came, and even though we weren't close and we had only met once, I recognized her voice. The lady Haynes left me for, Camilla. "What do you want?" I asked, knowing fully well she wouldn't have called me if there was no vendetta. "Wanti
