When did Ryan and Lexi Divorce in order for her to get engaged to Ethan and then marry him fairly quickly? Did I miss it?

Why do her best friends keep on changing? Why are there so many statements constantly repeated?If Ethan is Ryan’s brother,and in the beginning of the book it stated that Ryan and Lexi were high school sweethearts and married right away,then why doesn’t Lexi know about Ryan Ethan’sfamily/parents?
