Chapter Eighty-Four

Rosalind

I blinked twice to see if I was imagining things, and he didn’t move again. I sighed, feeling dejected.

“Please wake up, please.” I whispered, holding his hand tightly. On the other bed, Aurora blinked softly, before rushing up from her laid down position; the nurses rushing to attend to her.

“Please lay down, ma’am. The loss of blood would make you tired and you can’t be on your feet yet.”

She glared at the nurse who spoke. “Yeah yeah, this isn’t my first rodeo. I’m out of here.” She peeled herself off the bed and I rushed towards her, my mind whirling with ways to make her stay for at least a day.

She immediately rushed out of the hospital room, ignoring Philip’s calls and I followed her closely, not wanting her to leave my sight.

But she was fast for someone who just gave blood.

“Aurora!” I called out to her as she headed to her room and she groaned.
