BEEEEEP!!!

BANG!

SHIT. Did I just hit someone?

I pulled out the handbrake and jump out of the car. There’s an old man on the asphalt, wincing in pain while holding his leg. I ran towards him and squatted down to check if there’s blood. Luckily, there’s none.

“Oh my, I’m sorry, Sir! Are you okay?”

I was about to help him stand up, only for me to feel a cold metal on my neck. A knife is being pressed lightly against my skin, making me freeze. I gulped and try not to make any moves. Move an inch and my throat could be sliced.

“Give me all your money.” The old man stated calmly. I see no cars nor people around. It’ll be useless to fight back.

“I-I have some cash inside the car.”

“Don’t try to fool me.”

“No! I didn’t! You could check it yourself!”

“You know what will happen if you lie to me?” The knife moves to the left side of my neck. I feel like its peeling a bit of my skin. I grimace in horror. Sure, I’m afraid of dying, but I’m more afraid of seeing blood right now.

“NO! NO! I swear I have money in my car!”

“Take it. Don’t do anything foolish because you could die in any moment. Got it?”

I stand up carefully with this practical robber behind me. We walked towards my car and I slowly opened the door. I saw my wallet on the dashboard, but I’m not sure how much cash I have. What if I only have ten bucks? Will he still kill me?

As if a cue that God still loves me, I heard a loud, high noise, sounds like a siren. This old man pushed me hard, causing my head to bump onto the steering wheel. He really have to hurt me in any way possible.

“You okay there?”

I pushed myself back and turn face this soft voice, which is likely coming from a girl. “Yeah, I’m fine. Thank you.”

As I looked up, my eyes almost pop out. There stands a certain blonde who is looking back as shock as me. I swear she is literally everywhere! If we run into each other again in the future, she might be my potential soulmate. Cliché but fuck it. I feel like I’m the main character in a drama now.

“I’m starting to think you are the one who stalks me?”

“If I know it’s you, I would’ve just let you got robbed.” This blonde scoff and starts to walk away.

“Wait, Ms!”

Of course, she didn’t listen and keep on walking. She didn’t even bother to look back. Geez, this damn woman. I hastily hop into my car and starts the engine, following this blonde. I rolled down the window as my car is on the same pace as her. “At least let me thank you for saving me?”

“No need. I won’t help if I know it’s you.”

“Please? Or let me just treat you some dinner?”

“Don’t bother. Just treat your own wound.”

Wound?

I immediately step on the brake. My neck stings but I don’t think that old man really sliced my skin. My hand moves towards the left neck cautiously. I feel some fluid, not that much, but still, it makes me panic.

Stay calm Alex, you can handle this.

I slowly reach the tissue. Once I grabbed it, I closed my eyes and cautiously wipe any fluids around my neck.

“It’s just a small wound. Stop overreacting.” I heard the blonde says. I’ll deal with her later. I just need to wipe the blood here and I’ll be good.

After a few moments, the tissue in my hand got snatched. I could feel it being softly tapped on my neck.

“Do you have any aid kit?”

“Inside the compartment.”

“Hold the tissue.”

I slowly opened my eyes and saw the blonde getting inside my car. She pulled the compartment opened and grab a rectangular red and white box. She faces me right after tearing the adhesive bandage opened.

“Lift your head up.”

The same lavender scent is getting stronger as she moves closer to me. She carefully placed the bandage on my wound.

“What’s your name?”

I know, I should be thanking her. But she’ll just slip away if I thank her right now. This blonde gives me an ‘are you serious’ look. I just shrugged and wait for her answer. It’s our third meeting and I haven’t known her name. Ridiculous.

“Why are you so desperate to know my name?”

“I can’t just keep calling you Ms. Blonde for my whole life.”

“Bold of you to assume we’ll meet for your whole life.”

I chuckled, “why is it so hard for you to tell me your name? We’ll probably meet again in the future.”

This blonde scoffed. “Yeah, because you stalk me.”

“I will really be your stalker if you didn’t tell me your name.”

“You are so goddamn annoying!” She clicked her tongue, “I’m Rosie.”

I smile, probably way too wide for her liking. She immediately shot me another death glare.

“I’m Alex, incase you forget.”

“Are we done? Because I want to go home.”

“Let me drive you home?”

Rosie heave a deep, long, and heavy sigh. It’s like she’s trying not to explode in front of me. “First my name, then driving me home. What’s next? Taking me out for dinner?”

I grinned, “sounds like a plan.”

As I step on the pedal, I heard Rosie muttered ‘unbelievable’ before slumping to the passenger seat.

“So, are you up for a dinner or go straight to your home?”

“Shut the fuck up and keep driving.”
