Azerbel’s Point of View

The door shook again.

Harder this time.

Luna Lorraine's voice cut through the noise, sharp with disdain.

"Lycans are nothing but brutes. No restraint. No discipline. That kind of violence always destroys itself in the end."

Her words settled wrong in my chest.

Because that wasn't what I saw.

Not last night.

Not when he stood here,

holding out something that eased my pain when no one else could.

I shouldn't be defending him.

Not after the kisses.

Uninvited.

Unasked.

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 21: Comfortable for What?

Azerbel’s Point of ViewThe door shook again.Harder this time.Luna Lorraine's voice cut through the noise, sharp with disdain."Lycans are nothing but brutes. No restraint. No discipline. That kind of violence always destroys itself in the end."Her words settled wrong in my chest.Because that wasn't what I saw.Not last night. Not when he stood here, holding out something that eased my pain when no one else could.I shouldn't be defending him.Not after the kisses.Uninvited.Unasked.Still wrong. But even that...felt careless. Not cruel. And somehow, that made it worse.Because Guerero,I pushed the thought away before it could fully form."Open the door," Genaro said from the other side.Calm.Too calm."Or I'll break it."He didn't raise his voice. He didn't have to.The threat didn't sound angry. It sounded certain.Like a promise.Luna Lorraine's expression hardened."Insufferable," she muttered. The softness disappeared. For a moment, she didn't look like the woman who rais

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 20: Price of Staying

Azerbel’s Point of ViewSomething was about to break.I could feel it.Not just tension.Something worse.Because if Guerero and Genaro lost control, this wouldn't end with words."Alpha Genaro, please step back," Roland said, trying to keep his voice steady. "Nothing has been decided yet. You're still a guest here."Genaro didn't move.Didn't even blink. His eyes stayed fixed on my wrist. On Guerero's hand."Don't sound so sure," he said quietly. "Ask your alpha what has already been decided."The way he said it...Like it was done.Like no one else's opinion mattered.A cold weight settled in my chest."What decision?" I asked.I tried to pull my hand free.It didn't work.Guerero's grip tightened."You're not going anywhere," he said. The words felt wrong.Too late.Too convenient.Just days ago,he wanted me gone.I didn't say it.I didn't have to.Genaro laughed.Low.Sharp."Mutt," he said, his voice dripping with mockery. "You were ready to throw her out. And now you're holding

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 19: Alpha Who Refused to Lose

Azerbel’s Point of ViewI knew he was there before I opened my eyes. The air felt wrong.Heavy.Like something I didn't want was already too close. If this was a nightmare, it was a cruel one.Because I could feel everything. And I was too tired to fight it."What do you want?" I asked. My voice came out weak.Thinner than I wanted.I hated that he could hear it.All I wanted was to close my eyes again. To disappear for a few more minutes. But I didn't.Not with him standing there. Not after what he did.I still didn't understand him.No alpha acted like this.No restraint. No care for what others thought. He moved like rules didn't apply to him.Like consequences didn't exist.Luna Lorraine would have called it disgraceful. An alpha was supposed to represent the pack.Every move watched.Every word measured.Genaro did none of that.He just...did whatever he wanted. And the worst part?A small, traitorous part of me envied him."Get out of my room," I said, forcing the words out. "Y

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 18: Peace For One Life

Luna Lorraine's Point of ViewThe room shifted before the words even settled."What do you mean he asked for Azerbel as a symbol of peace?" I asked.Sharper than I intended."She's a person, not something you pass around."Something tightened inside my chest.A warning I couldn't ignore.I had never liked Genaro. From the first moment I saw him, something felt...off.Too relaxed.Too careless. An alpha who acted like nothing in the world could touch him.Men like that were either fools...or far more dangerous than they seemed. His father had been different.Focused.Ruthless in a way that made sense. You always knew where you stood with him.Genaro gave you nothing. And somehow, that made him worse. If I was being honest,I had even felt relieved when Guerero killed his father.Genaro had seemed easier to deal with.Less dangerous.I see now how wrong I was."What do you mean, a symbol of peace?" I asked again.More slowly this time.My fingers curled against my palm."Explain it to

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 17: Become My Luna

Guerero's Point of View"I reject you as my mate."The words didn't just echo. They tore through me.For a second, the room disappeared. All I could feel was the bond. And then...it snapped.Pain hit me.Hard.Fast.Merciless.I staggered back, clutching my chest as something inside me twisted and tore apart."No..."The word slipped out.Weak.Disbelieving.Across from me, Azerbel's face twisted in pain too.I saw it.I felt it.The same agony tearing through her.I didn't mean for this to happen.I only wanted to push her.To scare her.To make her come back to me.Why didn't she beg?Why didn't she fight to stay? Why did she choose this?"Azerbel..."My breath came out uneven."I didn't... I don't..."The words wouldn't come. The bond was breaking.I could feel it slipping away.Piece by piece. The pain crushed my chest.Made it hard to think.Harder to breathe. And I knew...when it was gone...there would be nothing left between us.Nothing.That thought hurt more than the pain.

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 16: Bond Cracked

Azerbel's Point of ViewThe moment I stepped toward the main hall, something in my chest tightened.Too tight.Like I was walking into a place that had already decided my fate.My heartbeat filled my ears as I followed the warrior down the corridor.I knew him.Not well. But enough to recognize the look he gave me.Careful.Almost...sorry."Azerbel," he said quietly, slowing his steps. "Just a reminder. Guerero is furious. He wants to banish you."He hesitated.Like he didn't want to say the rest."Choose your words carefully."So it was already decided.Or close enough."Thank you, Mille," I said.My voice came out softer than I expected.Genaro had warned me.I knew this was coming.Still...hearing it from someone else made it real in a different way.He didn't have to warn me.But he did.Maybe not everyone here had turned their back on me."Good luck," Mille said.I gave him a small smile. It felt fragile.Like it might break if I held it for too long. Then the doors opened. And

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 4: Night I Met Him

Azerbel’s Point of ViewFor a second, Guerero lowered his head.He looked... broken.Like something inside him was crushing him.Like he was carrying a weight too heavy to bear. But I couldn't feel sorry for him.Not after this. All I felt was pain.Sharp.Burning.This was him? This was the man I

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 3: Already Gone

Azerbel had imagined this moment a thousand times. But never like this.Never with Guerero sitting beside another woman.Never with him unable to look her in the eyes. And never...with him choosing someone else."This is Ruby," Guerero said. His voice was low.Heavy."The woman I mentioned in my l

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 2: Belonging to Someone Else

The question slipped out before Azerbel could stop it."Who is she?"Her voice trembled. Not because she didn't want the answer. But because a part of her was suddenly terrified of hearing it.Luna Lorraine's hand tightened around hers. And somehow...that made everything worse. The grip was gentle

  • Beautiful Betrayal   Chapter 1: His Guilty Eyes

The man she loved was finally coming home.So why did it feel like her heart was warning her instead of celebrating?Azerbel stood at the entrance of the Hellfire Pack, pressing her trembling hands together as she tried to steady her breathing.Beside her stood Luna Lorraine. On Lorraine's other si
