Edward has never been more embarrassed but he kept his ego at bay. “Would you love to grab dinner with me... For old times sake, "Edward asked, glancing over at Cassandra who turned to him with a ferocious smile. “Isn't paying for your little girlfriend enough?” Cassandra asked with a small smirk. She did not know why she was entertaining this conversation, but she did admit it was getting funnier by the second.

“Oh no... Mrs Carlson, you misunderstood. I am only a secretary to my boss, Mr. Edward loves you and I have my eyes on another. I dare not think of him in such a way” Mary was quick to act. Seated before her crush, misunderstandings as such were the very last he wanted him to hear. She wanted to keep a clean sheet as much as possible.

“Oh, I see. So why are you eating out with a secretary at such a fancy place? Aren't you scared someone is going to be misunderstood?” Cassandra asked sternly. She was not in the mood to sugarcoat anything and neither did she plan on doing it.
