Chapter 22: Don’t be Bigheaded!

“Mr. Goldwin?!”

“Ms. Willmer?!”

The two people both exclaimed, then hurriedly widened the distance.

“You—why are you here?”

“What are you doing here?”

The two also asked almost the same thing.

“Miss Willmer, this is my apartment. Whatever I do here is none of your business.” Cade had regained control of himself. He looked calm and cold. Like a lake with a surface filled with eternal snow.

“Mr. Goldwin, you yourself allowed me to live here. You also promised not to interfere in my personal affairs.” Fay was not to be outdone. Only, she looked more emotional.

How could she not be shocked to death? Cade, who in her mind was in the office, had bumped into her here.

“Don’t be so big-headed. You think by staying alone with me, you can take advantage of the situation.” Cade smiled sarcastically. “You’re mistaken if you think you can easily climb into my bed.”
