Chapter Fifty seven

We didn't stay there for long and went back to the hotel. However, he informed me that he had somewhere to go. The guy who was with us yesterday also picked him up.

I sat in the living room with a frown. I attempted to turn on the television and watched cartoons, but my mind kept spinning around the events. I was too curious, unsure of how to address the issue between us. He hadn't mentioned anything, and I was itching to know.

He stayed outside for several hours until it got dark, and I couldn't help but worry. Where could he have gone? Why didn't he even text me?

I entered the bedroom, where our things were, to get my cellphone that was charging. He had asked me to download WhatsApp since that's how we were supposed to communicate, as our SIM cards weren't compatible here.

I opened the application and sent him a message, but I heard a sound, so I looked towards the bed. I approached it and realized that it was Alex's phone.

I was tempted by curiosity inside his phone but restrained
