The meeting with Aiden's dad was strictly all about work, nothing too serious. He asked questions like whether or not I would want a new partner to help me out with my workload. I immediately said no, telling him I would be able to manage on my own, because the last thing I wanted was another Ashley.

I mean, I knew virtually all the ladies at work had a crush on Aiden but I was sure these partners would want a VIP pass with him.

A male partner was out of the question, it was what I told Mr Bates when he asked. I was not ready for Aiden's tantrums when he saw us work together.

Mr Bates permitted me to go home immediately after our discussion of about two full hours, and for some reason, I actually wanted to visit Aiden at his office then, just so we could finish what we had started…

However, I managed to overcome the urge to do that and went to my car parked outside, proceeding to drive myself home.

Yes, I had long driven off the driver assigned to me, though Aiden only agreed to
